It's hard to criticize these great men I've respected since I was a boy, and, if I had to pick my 10 favorite songs of all-time Cinema Show is near the very top. Everything they do is near the top!; but they didn't do Cinema Show. They only did the last section, the closing section, without the beautiful lyrics and melody that brings emotion that even a crabby old focker like me has to stop to draw a breath and contain myself. These guys aren't getting any younger I know. We all know. None of them can be replaced, even if Nick Collins is quite a good drummer. Thank gosh all of this music is well documented because humans of Earth will love this a hundred years from now.

This is probably the most emotional performance I've ever seen them do. And I have seen dozens of shows. The way Phil sings the Fading Lights lyrics and towards Mike and Tony is goosebump level. The filming of this is impeccable.

I could of gone as I was offered free tickets. But didn't want to watch him in that state. But we all have our favourite Genesis periods ,I especially liked the Lamb and then Trick of the tail and Wind and Wuthering and also the seconds out album. I saw them just before 1980 as a kid then later but I wasn't into Genesis pop period, mind u always good live. Personally I DON'T think these gigs should of gone ahead, it's not like they needed the money. Good out on a high note. Not ( and Phil can't help it ) but it's painful how bad his voice is , sitting down u can't get vocal power He looks ten years older than he is 🤔, I wish him well but there's a timer to call it quits and that was several years before this tour. We will always have the albums thank god and the memories especially of selling England to wind and Wuthering and of course seconds out !!!! 👍✌️ , and Brand X and his sessions John Martyn and tears for fears etc etc, always be missed but remember him for everything up to the tour that ended in Rome. That should of been the perfect sign off 👍✌️👍✌️

The negative peeps are not here yet - great. I think this is one of my favourite segments of the show. The power of Nic's drumming on Cinema Show is immense. He did a great job throughout. Phil got stronger and more confident as the show went on. Kudos to him and Nic. I have seen the band many times, and Collins, Gabriel and Hackett in different incarnations... but this opening show of this last tour was very special. It was an honour to be there, it really was. The people around me were in tears. This is it. It really has finished. Thank you Genesis.

All Genesis also filled my life, - and still does today,- everyday since I was 12 and discovered them. The day I discovered GENESIS was a day of GRACE. Every day before leaving at school, after school , during holidays, during my nights before sleeping, I listened GENESIS. Often I was sleeping with my headphones, in my bed, after having listened supper's ready or SEBTP or W&W or trespass or TLLDOB or ATTW3. GENESIS, You were the Band I dreamt to play with on stage, I dreamt beeing Gabriel singing Supper's ready, Cinema Show, Firth of fifth, the Knife, or Collins singing all for the Vine. Genesis will always live in my heart and in my mind. FOREVER. LONG LIVE GENESIS. AND THANK YOU SO SO MUCH.

The lights are absolutely stunning. When I think of Phil joining at 19, I was a year old. Now hearing and seeing Phil in this shape, there is not just sadness watching him, but pride. I thought of how strong his voice once was and how powerful his playing was. Just as I was in my ‘20’s & 30’s. I grew up with this band, but more importantly with him - even if Tony is my preferred writer. He taught me drums, placement, sound, playing for the song and being able to play for most any occasion. I sit here at age 51 with my own neck issues (not nearly where he is) and hear the vulnerability, age and reflection in his voice. I'm listening to the lyrics of both of these songs through the ears of a 70 year old man and it brings a new perspective and unexpected emotional response to these songs. I see these old men who have in a small way helped shape my life - and whose music was there for me as a pre-teen, all the way through to middle-age and being a Dad. Watching “Afterglow”, I’m actually in tears. Some will mock Phil for doing this, but I think "how brave". To be at the end of a career and still doing it with so much against him. “Learning that we're only immortal, for a limited time” as another titan wrote. As I get to the end of these nearly 12 minutes of reflection and bombast, all I can think of is “A job well done. A job well f$cking done”. It has been an absolute privilege to have and still be a fan.

I love this combination of medley (and the fact that's the last tour, Fading Lights starting replacing the usual In The Cage sounded very poignant and exact to the tour's concept and Phil's actual state), but i have to admit that for me the transition to Cinema sound much direct, almost like a collage on this arrangement. The ideal thing should be playing some first few minutes (until two minutes) of the instrumental section of Fading (which the crowd surely would go nuts) into The Cinema Show, like a slowly crescendo to transite between the songs. Genesis medleys has a tradermark of being very subtile in transition of the excerpts, unfortunately this one was not of them, but, however, this is still utterly amazing.

Aye.! Is that right, leave it, is dissection needed,? They,as there are so many bands, past, present, future, worked out the formula, through their music, feel every emotion, that is applicable for how many,?yes ,an universal collective, I like them alot.

My banda favorita desde siempre.

Oh man, it's heartbreaking to see Phil air drumming during Cinema Show, I can imagine he'd wish he could be the one behind the drumkit playing it. Also, I would've loved to see them add back the little snippet from Slippermen so Nic could show off a little bit.

It's so good to see them performing again but sad to see phil in poor health. I last saw Genesis live at Milton Keynes in 1982 and saw them 9 or 10 times prior to that. I love Genesis to my very core and I hope they have a happy retirement. Seeing Phil on the drums and being an outstanding frontman is going to be a memory I will cherish to my grave. I love Genesis!!!

The music of Genesis is the soundtrack of my life. Seeing Phil with health issues touches me deeply and I am very sad because they don't play in my country. Phil's voice still is giving me goosebumps, may be even more than before, although the perfection has gone. Nobody is immortal and we all are aging and not getting younger. But still he is the only singer for this music and I love it like it is. Of course Peter still would be a charismatic singer for Genesis, but somehow this doesn't seem to happen. Would be great, if Genesis could do some concerts in Germany, hopefully not affected by the corona-bullshit. But apparently Genesis will be done after the gigs in England and the USA. ❤
