The reason most of them escaped jail time is a two fold reason. The first is that they "cooperated" with the questioning and didn't resist arrest, the second is that most of them pushed the narrative that this was entrapment because there were instances of the "kid" continuing to try and talk to the predator into coming over instead of being more passive. Oh third reason as always - if they have gotten into trouble before for this act, or any other violent/sexual act.

We used to have a dog that I disliked (it's very rare for me to not like a dog), but I always took care of him despite my personal feelings. My gsd Heidi, on the other hand, never once bit me or anyone, ever. If anything, she was protective of me and had she been around (we didn't have her when he was biting me) she would have kicked his ass for hurting me. So yeah, I have bad memories of that dog. Cops don't have anything to do other then arresting at the end. A private group of citizens dothe work. That's why entrapment isn't an issue, but because the evidence is collected by a citizen. It doesn't always hold up in court due to chain of custody and reliability.

Out of all of em, this decoy seemed the most pressing. At 2:12 I read through how they responded to him reporting and the decoy goes out of their way to get this guy to keep talking. Does not justify his actions at ALL, he is still disgusting and horrible for trying to talk and meet with her, but I saw how this episode had a part of the entrapment controversy

The decoys are private citizens and so are the people who put this together. Cops just are there at the end. Entrapment snt the issue. It's that the evidence collected . The chain of custody can be in question and the reliability of the citizens. So , you the state needs to prove that the evidence is reliable and doesn't fall apart.

@@nickmyers3065 You bring up really good points and I didn’t know that’s how it was put together, I just assumed the “perverted justice” group that talks to predators was with the police force. As far as evidence is concerned, there is definitely a lot going against these guys as they are very clearly having explicit chats but the fact that he was originally turning away from the “12 year old” but the decoy continued talking to rope him back in is definitely poking into entrapment territory. I bring it up because this show has gotten entrapment claims in the past and I just noticed a connection here.

Are they real, meaning is it a random person claiming. I haven't seen any legal actions or legal findings of true entrapment. I think it's like when people claim someone is a paedo when they rped a 15 year old. That's not a paedo Tobe clear lol
