With the ongoing rise of conflicts all around the world, unmanned aerial and ground vehicles, or, as they’re more popularly known, drones, have truly shown how big of an impact and influence they have over modern warfare.
Drones as we know them have been in use since the Cold War. However, back then, due to technological constraints, their use remained fairly limited for the most part, up until the dawn of the 21st century.
In 1995, a new, revolutionary UAV was introduced, which changed the shape of warfare forever! We are, of course, talking about the almighty MQ-1 Predator. It showed the world how versatile, dangerous, and incredibly efficient UAVs are, while also being less expensive and casualty-free of waging a war. The Predator's inception has been so significant, that the drone itself had been deemed obsolete by 2007, when its spiritual successor, the MQ-9 Reaper, was first introduced.
