chidorirasenganz by that argument eastern music African music and ‘white’ Europeans laid down the basics for ALL modern popular music. That’s literally ALL modern western music including jazz, blues, rock’n’roll and hip hop. In fact, pretty much after Beethoven and the likes, music has only changed aesthetically. We typically use the same chord progressions and so on. In other words, don’t go there. I like to refer to it all as human culture and not any specific races culture.

Never heard of Tame Impala until a few mobths ago where i was browsing Spotify and I heard one of their songs and fell in love. Im a huge Tame Impala fan and ever since then, ive been seeing Tame Impala everywhere; Coachella, refrenced on Logic's book Supermarket, and other places. I didnt know how much Tame was involved with rap/r&b until now. Kevin Parker is really a legend.

Neither band can be pigeonholed into one genre really, but tame impala does make rock music (lucidity, elephant, HFGW) just as led zeppelin has made some folk music (the battle of evermore, gallows pole, bron-y-aur stomp)

I don't see tame Impala as a rock band.. i see it as psychedelic rock/pop music. That's why I started to listen too them, because I was/am really into psychedelic pop/rock music. If you live tame Impala you would also love bands like "pond" and "temples" ☺️

All they do is wear AC/DC, Metallica, Black Sabbath (Favorite band of all time), Slayer, etc shirts to look "fashionable". I went to the gas station about a year ago while at work with an old AC/DC shirt on. The kid behind the counter immediately freaked out and said "Bro, I support you fully", while pointing at my shirt. To test him, I asked "Bon Scott (RIP to a GOAT) or Brian Johnson". He answered me with an uncertain tone: "Uh, Brian Johnson, yeah...yeah". Kids are fucking weird these days. You have access to a pocket library of archived world knowledge, but don't fully explore it? I grew up listening to current music, and stuff my parents looked over in their youth, all without the internet. This is why I support reaction videos (when done for self and mass education and not clout chasing) where people venture outside of their boundaries. I welcome people to dig for different types of music (Especially the youth of today). It can change your view on things and introduce you to new worlds.
