Good work, but some suggestions 1. It is start motor , not designed for continuous duty, it will drain battery fast and damage motor and brushes . So use proper S1 duty motor. 2. If motor connect with freewheel to rear wheel it much better control and safe. 3. Use v brakes if u remove disk brake 2.

This is high torque engine start motor designed to run fir a max 1 minute. It wud burn or heat up if run for more than 2 to 3 minutes. Even the battery wud support the chsrge fir max 5 to 7 minutes. How to deal with these problems.

I'm working on building an Ebike and an issue I've run in to is the drive sprocket on the hub clearing the brake caliper (I'm using a hub adapter to mount the drive sprocket). About 2 minutes into this video I said to my self "why didn't I think of that?) I could've/should've used a larger sprocket than the 36T the hub adapter came with and a smaller rotor than the 203mm currently installed. This would've put the sprocket teeth and correlating chain beyond/above the calliper resolving clearance issues. Specifically the sprocket clearing the caliper but not the chain. While I commend your engineuity in installing the motor, I have to say I disagree with removing/disabling a brake to accomplish the task. I do however thank you for the idea to mount the sprocket to the rotor vs the hub. This will increase the rigidity of the rotor making centering the caliper easier from reduced rotor flex.

@@hassansaberi712 I have not removed the front brake. The hub adapter with the sprocket to supply the drive for the alternator is installed on the rear hub. I wanted to mount the alt over the rear wheel but this position is not possible for the the line the chain has to follow the disc brake caliper will interfere. I've decided to mount the alt in front of the rear wheel so the line the chain has to follow will clear the caliper. I never said I removed a brake.

The experiment was very good,, I wud prefer, if you made a connection to the REAR WHEEL,, rather than FRONT WHEEL.,, coz usually we used to pull the left brake for safe braking, it will hold & control the body weight balance & STOP SMOOTH,.. but if the motor is front wheel, it can't maintain body balance by pulling the both breaks also.! But the project is awesome,, 👍 Kudos.. ALL THE BEST..

I don't understand the explanation because of the language but there must be a disconnect switch attached to the brakes. Otherwise if you're braking the motor will just keep on running and fight against the brakes (unless you flip the switch to off before braking). But honestly, to be practical there must also be a throttle installed to regulate the speed.

The biggest error I see in this style of construction is that you have sacrificed a critical element in stopping power by eliminating the front brake especially when you have a bike that can go potentially faster than what you normally pedal and front brakes actually have more stopping power than rear brakes. I would my self have it driven through the rear wheel but from what I see you still have the brake posts on the front forks so at the very least fit v brakes to compensate for the loss of your front disc brake
