Nika was outstanding; especially in the first half. She did what great point guards are supposed to do; handle the ball, dish it out, and play great defense.

Nika has super fast reflexes.

Great performance by Azzi!!! I’m looking forward to seeing similar games from Aubrey once she gains more confidence and comes out of her shell. She’s the best athlete on the court by far, so explosive, and her potential is incredible! I also expect to see Lou do the same as she is a pure, experienced, and confident scorer!!! Add a healthy Caroline to this group going forward, I pity every team on their schedule this year. I honestly believe that we have only seen a small glimpse of the greatness to come from more players. This is going to be a fun season to watch!!!!!

Azzi has been amazing so far, she must have been playing on one leg last year, completely different player. She has gone to the basket more in 3 games then she did all last year. Nika is playing great, Griffin as well. Lou was a great addition, compliments Azzi. Edwards needs to play an entire game against top teams, disappears at times. My main concern remains Caroline, neck injuries are tough to deal with.

My main concern is shooting 50% from the line. No improvement from last year. Are they getting no coaching at all on how to shoot free throws?

Azzi must have spent a lot of time in the weight room. She is much stronger this year than last.

Work on foul shots, and they win games. Good luck and I love the speed and tenacious defense. :-)

Agree totally with Thomas. They seem to be very vulnerable in the middle. Slow accompanied by a lot of reaching. That is exactly what South Carolina’s Boston did to them last year. I’m guessing the coaches realize it but the program has not been successful in recruiting an athletic ‘Big’ in some time. Being 6’5” is one thing but being 6’5” and athletic and physical with even a small amount of jump is another. Can’t imagine Paige and the more mature Azzi together.

If we had a dominant center the national championship is ours, dorka is good defensively but canot make a layup and needs help in the middle we need a #1 center

It's really strange how hard they had to work last year to avoid disaster and this year they're already an excellent team (with more up-side). This makes little to no sense.

Because Azzi wasn't there for almost half the season and of the three seniors from last year you could almost bet that two of them wouldn't show up come game day.
@rachelfite9342 жыл бұрын
Yeah we finally were able graduate 2 seniors who tended to be liabilities in games like the one last night. Also Azzi is fully healthy. And I think they have good new additions as well as return players who know what they are doing. And Paige and Ice aren’t even thrown into the mix. I think this season and the next one will be very exciting to watch.

It looked to me like the weak spot is under the basket. They got beat while their big girls were being slow and awkward. They are better than that.

I wish some of the folks who post on the Boneyard would see the game even close to how Geno sees it and how it unfurls and who plays well and who tends to stink up the joint. But, that’s the glass half full mentality and the hall monitor not permitting anything too derogatory.

I think Aaliyah was better than Geno stated in the first half.

Being real. I thing I seen in the game that worries me is Deberry 6'5 not playing come in and help out on the rebounds and Defense something is wrong I feel that Geno doesn't see her at all in the mix.
@Aaron.Davis562 жыл бұрын
She fouls and passes really bad so possessions were really important. I watched her while at the game and she slows down the offense
@ricardorussell60462 жыл бұрын
What's up with Deberry, I hope she's A.OK., to talented not to be. out there helping her TEAM.🦄
@victorlopez21432 жыл бұрын
I'm not surprised. Geno rarely talks about her. She's not doing things that are expected from her, especially practicing hard like all players do at UCONN. That's on her. She has the talent but not the desire like some players. I don't know if she will ever change her attitude. That's too bad. She's wasting her talents.
@jusbsmart69512 жыл бұрын
Should be replaced. Sad cuz she's a nice girl it seems. But dosnt try
@ricardorussell60462 жыл бұрын
No replacement available this year for Amari .Man these ladies will have to go beyond, pray no more injuries.
@Aaron.Davis562 жыл бұрын
Instead of working hard, Piath left and DeBerry stayed so I hope it works out. So far it just looks like a tall girl that plays basketball. She needs to believe in herself
@garyroundtree32932 жыл бұрын
Being real I mean one thing about Deberry not out there maybe time will tell.
@TheDisruptiveOne2 жыл бұрын
Definitely not working out for DeBerry right now. And I think things are headed in a worrying direction for Caroline too. She has fallen to third choice at her position.
@lastonestanding34172 жыл бұрын
@@TheDisruptiveOne My opinion, DeBerry will not pan out. Ducharme only had a couple practices before this game, her contributions last season aren't forgotten by the coaching staff. I believe Ducharme will be alright; I only hope her body doesn't rebel against her (neck, hip etc).
