I wish you had questioned her about the implications of millions of people's data from 23andMe being hacked and has made its way onto the black market. All of this is irrelevant if they can't keep people's most intimate data safe, especially when they failed to disclose it for months.

Huh? Do you realize that it was more of an end user issue? If you're using "Password1" for your security, it's just a matter of WHEN you will be hacked

She doesn't care even though she also used the service herself. The hacker allegedly stole her data as well. I think they feel like if they just ignore it people will just forget about it and it will go away. Lets us never forget.

I wonder what hackers are going to do with genetic data? We are online now, google has all our data, they already know more about us than we know about ourselves. All our health data is online and medical organizations get hacked all the time, our health data probably sits on multiple servers worldwide.

How did you possible fail to inquire about the data breach?? This interview is so extremely biased.

Maybe it's because he knows it was not the company's fault , and more because people had insecure passwords

@@killmoreturtles WRONG it was the companies fault. It's ALWAYS their fault. They know it too.

Lame interview. Imagine not even questioning the ethics of keeping customer data. Millions of people might not be able to get health insurance because of this company and its cutesy marketing.

People opt into giving them this info. You do it ALL THE TIME, but for some reason this is the one you question? And clearly you don't understand how insurance works. They are letting people know what they need to be cautious about , it has NOTHING to do with insurance pricing

This was a great interview. AI, unfortunately, is just going to run the same decision tree that doctors do because that is how they will be trained. It's like people being frustrated with AI already over biases.

This was really good. As important as the body scan stuff. Our health system is wildly skewed and I would much rather use an AI doctor for 80% of my medical needs, just quicker and more efficient, and based on the same decision tree. Then I can decide what specialist to see, maybe even outside the US system so I can get a different approach, one based less on profit efficiencies. Look at all the pro athletes going to Latin America now for treatment.
