You are right, Furina and Neuvillette are quite literally from a different age, as they are hundreds of years old, however their attire is more due to their status (Furina is the Archon and Neuvillette is Chief Justice). Also the popup audience from Furina's burst is a visual aid for the players to see when her Fanfare stacks reach a certain number.

Actually the two are by far different ages, Furina is about 500 and Neuvilette is over 10,000 due to being one of the “7 great sovereigns”

Fontaine is based on France, similar to how other regions are based off other irl countries/regions. Mondstat is based on Germany, Liyue is based on China, Inazuma is based Japan, sumeru has a mix of south Asia and I believe more middle eastern countries. Natlan is based of indigenous America with maybe some Spanish and West Africa cultures (this is just what I heard not sure 100% as of right now so take it with a grain of salt), and Snezhnaya is based on Russia

i think natlan gonna be based on Latin america or maybe just Brazil, the name that they released for the archon is based on a brazilian religion and tradition (candomblé and umbanda) Yansan will be the name in english i guess (Iansã is the original name)

@@iFlashScarlet Based on that battlepass weapon Talking Stick. We can pretty much guess what's going on with the inspirations of Natlan. There seem to be a few tribes (3/4 don't remember) and they're all based on their own cultures. There was like 2 african countries some south america and stuff. I highly recommend watching some videos analysing the Talking Stick and what info we can gather about Natlan from it, it's very facinating.

Fun Facts on these characters: Neuvillette - is pronounced new-vi-let, which kinda means new village/ville. Also, it's his surname, not first. The "???" are being used on their character cards as to not spoil the ongoing story during his release - which also applies to Furina's. And yes both are somewhat like old-timey vibes because they literally are. But they have different kind of "longevity" in them. Wriothesley - he's the warden now but he was also just a previous inmate. He's the typical "got imprisoned for a noble reason" kinda character. He's also got information about an ancient civilization in Fontaine which might be (I hope) expanded on in the future updates. He's also the thickest male ingame model. Lol. Furina - the most hated turned loved character in the whole game. Lol. Her story is very tragic and she's one of the characters who I see with a lot of strong will. Playing a part for 500+ years is beyond crazy. To sum the next point up, she's also a Joan of Arc + Marie Antoinette reference with regard to the whole story of Fontaine region.

Neuvillette is my best built character as I got him, his signature weapon, and his stats are really good, I didn’t work on Wriothesly(pronounced “Rise-Lee”) when I got him and that’s because Furina was on the way, I got her built for support and healing but if I use her for attack, I have her as a part of my “Do Nothing” team alongside her fellow archons, Zhongli, Nahida, and the Raiden Shogun and the name says it all because I just activate everyone’s Eskill(charge eskill for Zhongli and Nahida) and let those skills do all the damage

I managed to get Furina/Neuvillette/Wriothelsey and I'm so happy about that. Neuvillette and Furina are especially worth saving primogems for if you can't afford to spend money on Genshin but still want a strong team. The free to play prototype amber is a good weapon for Neuvillette because of his mostly HP scaling damage. Sometimes see people mistakenly stacking attack gear on him because he's a DPS character so I thought I should emphasize that point. Decent Crit stats are still good to have though. Additionally you can somewhat heal your team on burst with the PA. This weapon ability also partly recharges the burst which helps sustain his damage output. Furina's a swiss army knife of exploration, healing & buffing. And getting her to do decent damage herself wasn't too difficult. Wriothelsey's good for helping other players across water in co-op, which Furina can't do.

She was so spot on. And for a few reasons. Neuvillette is 500+ years old. Furina is even older MUCH older as she would part of the first Era civilisation of Teyvat (the world) shes old OLD. Also the Devs told us that Fontaine the Nation of Hydro has for themes Victorian Era UK and 1800s France with the the Romanticism mouvement in mind. U can see it in the old names and outfit also the design of the region itself ahah Anyway good video as usual yall are doing an amazing work thank for this🎉

Neuvilette has definitely established himself as one of the most loved male characters in Genshin. His looks does not reflect his personality and once you get to his part of the story, you'll definitely love him. And once you get past a certain point, you'll most likely love him more. Regarding the fact on you judging his power, there's definitely more to him than meets the eye. Wriothesley is the 2nd Catalyst user that uses his fists (the first being the Wind user from Inazuma). His attacks are very handy for freezing an enemy in place and some people just find it more fun to throw hands instead of blades. Backstory will most likely effect you guys and see just how he ticks as a person. Furina. Oh boy. When this girl was first introduced a lot of people initially disliked her thinking she was gonna be some uppity brat with an entire nation in her hand. Nowadays, she is one of the most loved and revered Archons in the Genshin fandom. Not just for her personality, but her writing as a character and role within the narrative are regarded as one of the best stories Genshin has ever produced. I have no doubts in my mind you two will love her as well.

In game mechanic terms, most characters from Fontaine in some way benefit from both losing and recovering hit points. I think that's both the reason the developers did a pass over existing healers before releasing Fontaine (surprising many players when they nerfed something about Barbara almost none of us - myself included - had ever realized she had) and why they're going slow on the testing and eventual release of Fontaine's "native healer" Sigewinne. Have Neuvillette, haven't used him much. There's nothing wrong with him, but I don't happen to need what he does best and I haven't had the energy lately to do much grinding. Have Furina, have used her quite a bit. Again, having Lumina, Mona, and Barbara I don't actually need her, but there are more fun things she can do out of combat and she's somewhat better at surviving at low levels once you understand how her summons think. (Every character who has a summon has summons that behave a bit differently. Furina's are good at doing things that'll indirectly kill her, but they also excel at creating confusion in a melee.) No luck on Wriotheseley this time around, just as with Nadia and Ayaka(yet again). On the bright side, I should have good odds on somebody coming up soon who a lot of players have wanted for years now to see settle into a more accessible nest. [Appended] Dainsleif was in fact surprisingly respectful towards Furina - as usual you're missing some context there. Should you ever decide to see the character trailers, I'd suggest looking Furina's "Teaser" before her "Demo" rather than the other way around. There's some (very intentional) emotional dissonance.

Neuvillette is crazy strong. The guy is considered one of the best dps characters right now, because he can take on the hardest challenges in the game, all by himself. He can heal himself, and he doesn't even need a shield if you get his first constellation. (Which is basically a character buff that you can obtain by getting two of the same character.) Wriothesley got kind of overshadowed because.. Neuvillette caused such a huge storm right before he released. Still, he's got a good kit and c'mon. Who doesn't want to play as a boxer with mechanical gloves? Furina is an archon level unit- like Zhongli, Raiden Shogun and Nahida, she's extremely powerful, and makes your characters hit twice as hard. Neuvillette was already broken, and Furina makes him even more so.

Furina is debatably the most powerful, or at least most useful. Neuvillette is the most powerful pure on-field DPS. So his own personal damage is the highest. Furina buffs the team and does off-field DPS allowing for reactions and other characters to do more damage, so she allows the whole team to do the most damage. Either way Neuvillette/Furina > Wriothesley in terms of in-game power.
