Here's the thing, Mihoyo said that Kiana was the very first character that they made when they were just a small company and they said that they love Kiana so much and treated her as their own daughter. And that's why they put her into every game that they've made and she's always the icon for each game. Fly me 2 the moon, Houkai Gakuen/GGZ and Honkai Impact 3rd. But what about Genshin? The icon's name is Paimon. Well you se, Paimon is the name of a demon in mythology just like the Archons : Morax, Baal and Barbatos. And these Archons also have their other "Human" name, Zhongli, Raiden and Venti. So Paimon's other name is most likely Kaslana or Kiana. But the unknown god looks like HoV Kiana tho? Well it's either Paimon is the Unknown God herself or she's somehow a part of the unknown god just like Kiana to Sirin (Hov).

After a year of Genshin Impact, I kind of feel like we've fallen far off course from this opening cutscene. Don't get me wrong I know the game is still young and the story still has so much left to tell us but with all the events and new characters it's like, ''what are we even doing anymore?'' Going from nation to nation, solving their problems only to tell us we don't know where your sibling is. When we finally get back to the beginning of it all (5 - 10 years later) will this beginning cutscene still feel relevant? I haven't played any others RPG games like Genshin so I don't know if this is common among RPG games like this. Players who hop into this game 5 years later will be able to experience most of this games story. But for us long term players it's been quite a journey. And it has only just begun. I love this game, I'm just wondering if I'll still feel that same excitement I had when I first started this game, when this game finally comes to its end.

Well, since Inazuma came out almost a year after release and we know that we still have Sumeru, Fontaine, Natlan and Snehznaya left (hope i mentioned them in right order,,) + the other sibling told us that we "need to come through all this world just like they did to understand" during the "we will be reunited" quest, we can suspect that we really need to visit all 7 nations, possess all 7 elements, fight and epic boss and then we will be able to finally meet our sibling again, reunite with them and it will be the games end. So, as i mentioned that Inazuma came out around 1 year after the release - we'll probably see Sumeru in like 6-8 months maybe?? So 1 year for each nation and it gives us still around 4-5 years until the very end :p

I think Mihoyo exectues the lore of Genshin Impact perfectly. By reading the books and item descriptions, we already get a glimpse of Tevyat's history, Celestia's role on the Earthly realm and the Heavenly Principles, and the Archon's involvement with Khaenri'ah. Given how much we've learned from Enkanomiya, I think we'll get to learn much more in the following quests

Small theories i have on that cutscene During the "pick your traveler" scene it looks like we are taking the unknown god's POV Also, after picking your mc, we can see unknown gods eyes pointing in the direction of the mc you took What this mean is that no matter what mc we take, the script in teyvat will "mostly" go the same way for both siblings, we can guess this from the game itself and deduce that the choice at the start does not really matter both for the player and the unknown god If the theory that the story of Teyvat keeps happening and that something forces it to go back to the beginning every time has some truth in it it could mean that someone that does not comes from teyvat has the power to change fate/the script since they dont belong in the story We also know that we were not the first to come to teyvat (the descenders) how many time did the script get changed, that we don't know keep in mind that we have characters/things in this world that can technically read the future like mona and record the script like irminsul that can be used as evidence But wait if the mc is able to change the story, then why is the story almost the same no matter what Paimon is most likely the reason, not enough proofs but it would make sense as to why she keeps taking our screentime If the unknown god is looking for someone that can change the world, it would make sense for her to use the traveler as a mean to an end This would also mean that whatever she is planning with us, the mc, is intentional and that could mean something later on. Thoses theories have flaws but even so, it's going to be nice to see how the story goes in the future

I'm not even surprised if that's actually Kiana. Their works probably revolves around Mihoyo's universe. So Genshin could actually be connected to HI3 on a different timeline or a different verse. She was also on GGZ you know. Known as Honkai Gakuen or Gun Girls DayZ

Coming back here after almost 4 years for confirmation because until now, people still think that the unknown god is the heavenly principles. I’m pretty much sure that the unknown god is one of the shades and not the heavenly principles herself (based on in game materials and some of the characters dialogues, and even in depth theory analysis from other players).

I’m just annoyed that even after four years, some players and even content creators still think that she’s the Heavenly Principles.

The fact that the Sustainer is female means she cannot by definition be the Heavenly Principles. Istaroth is Shade of Time, Ronova is Shade of Death, and then we have two more Shades left - Shade of Life and and Shade of Space. The Sustainer is likely the Shade of Space.

I’m more and more convinced the sustainer is the void/space shade everyday. I’m convinced her role is to be the gatekeeper or guardian or something similar of the sky, and that her role could also be to transport stuff to other areas that pose a threat to teyvat. Like how we saw in that lumine disaster cutscene years back her cubes floating around everywhere. Sand the cubes we saw in the false sky look exactly like hers. Also her attitude in the beginning of the game would make sense too, since wants to uphold or sustain the hps rules. The shades don’t like being referred to by name so makes sense why no archons would not know who she is.
