I love the fact that some dendro characters have some technological aspect in their kit like nahida have that computer drag, a cursor and shes hopping on keyboards. Alhaitham also looks straight up those sci-fi rooms even with his theme. Kaveh too and now kinich with the straight up arcade retro aesthetic i love it Like the idea of dendro. Being a manifestation of knowledge what better example of it than our technology and not just plant life is really unique to me.

As a animation student, I must study this trailer because holy mother of the Aeons- The perfect mix between 3D animation, 2D animation, Pixel art and VFX is AMAZING!!! They all fit so well together in a perfect place and time. The VFX is subtle in places but it's perfect to catch movement and give the illusion of speed and strength!! The pixel art is very very impressive as well! It's very difficult to do and so I'm sure the animations were working over time 😂😂😂 But honestly this is one of my favourite Genshin trailers

I'm definitely people. I'm happy for people that are enjoying the change of pace, but I personally just cannot vibe with any of the designs or the overall aesthetic of Natlan characters at all. They just feel like they belong in a completely different game, and are such a departure from previous design aesthetics that it's jarring and I just cannot see myself pulling for any of then regardless of how much they might powercreep previous characters. I'm just hoping that the Fatui entries and maybe 1-2 other characters diverge and don't embrace the same style, otherwise I'll just be rolling on rerun banners and otherwise waiting and hoping that Schneznaya has an art style I vibe with more. Again, happy for those that are into this style, and enjoy them, and in another game I might enjoy them as well, but I just cannot imagine any of these characters interacting with or being on the same team and fighting alongside our previous nations characters.

This is absolutely one of the best trailers y'all have ever released, and Kinich looks so ridiculously fun to play that I can't wait for him. Amazing animations, music, love the dynamic between the two... What a beautiful, unique trailer! The only complaint I have is his videos have been so short and I learned nothing new about him from this one, but it's so well done that I can forgive it. Just hope he gets an animated short like Mualani too, and way more screentime in the archon quest later.

Can we appreciate the irony of how Gaming is more of a dancer than a gamer but Kinich is more of a gamer than a dancer? Kachina, Mualani, and Xilonen all dance during their idle animation but Kinich seems to be the only exception so far. Edit: Yes, Gaming’s name is pronounced as gah-meeng. I just found it funny how a word or name can seem like one thing but be something else. It’s like how a popular Filipino rice cake dessert is also a swear word in Spanish, or how K-Pop group names and fandom names might make sense in Korean but translate horribly in a different language (looking at you, EL7Z U+P and ILLIT). Language is funny and interesting when you understand how things can get lost in translation, like how many people mispronounced Gaming‘s name when he was first introduced. Dendro has tech and knowledge vibe, Nahida skill and normal attack is basically pressing keycap and using mouse, Kaveh using his tech ahh suitcase to move the claymore, Alhaitham burst using optical theory. Not all dendro characters tho, mainly in sumeru (sorry for the bad english)

Kinich is quite unique but it makes you wonder what is or if there ever will be an explanation as to why he's heavily pixel-themed. His design stands out so much from anything else in Teyvat.

Big agree. His pixel theme put me off initially, but I've grown to like it. For the record I don't dislike pixel stuff, just that it felt off in Genshin haha. I'm guessing it has sth to do with Ajaw, but what exactly :thonk:
