Great video, but way too much work for an over night stay. Thanks

What about adding fuel to the generator. How much trouble to remove cover
@ThatNomadicCouple Жыл бұрын
Takes two seconds, there’s a Velcro flap that gives access to it 👍

Is this safe to run your generator while covered even in hard raining windy storms?
@ThatNomadicCouple2 жыл бұрын
As long as the exhaust isn’t covered and the electronics are covered it’s fine.

It looks like way too much of the generator is still exposed. Our recent 2023 Northern California storms come with 60+ mph winds. There is no way the sides of my generator wouldn't get soaked. Too bad they don't supply enough of a skirt to cover all sides except for the exhaust. I wonder if they will cover damage to a generator if their canopy fails.

We’ve been using the gentent for the last 3 years and never had an issue. It’s been through really heavy rain and hurricanes

DeUlloa... You make me laugh... This cover is obviously lightweight and you want and expect the manufacturer to be responsible for how you use it in a 60+ 🌧️ storm 😂 If you're that concerned, you could build a mini shed out of wood and metal frame with a pitch roof. I thought about buying a prebuilt dog house and cutting The roof off then adding piano hinges then cutting hole for exhaust. Just an idea

I've always wondered how someone is supposed to run a generator 20ft away from the house during a storm...
@ThatNomadicCouple Жыл бұрын
Well now you know! Haha although some people just let em run in the rain. But I highly advise against that…

@@ThatNomadicCouple That's what I was hoping for. Here in the Houston area, it can get get pretty bad. Thanks.

Good luck using that on all the new generators with their stupid CO monitors. Any kind of shielding I put on mine causes my units to shut off from the CO sensors. Infuriating
