First, I'm absolutely in love with the new slightly sillier style of the recent videos. Keep up the good laughs! Second, as a man who likes stereo-typically masculine things (cigars, whiskey, watches, women, video games) but also stereo-typically feminine things (cats, fashion, interior design), it took me a full decade (all of my 20's) to learn to separate myself from toxic friends who would make disparaging comments about my race, style of dress, and class completely out of the blue based on these things. I wish I had videos like this back then to show me a man can be many things.

I'm a woman so I probably do not even belong here, but I honestly appreciate it when a man is passionate about very different and somehow "opposite" things (why opposite and declared opposite by whom ? I could not really say, though...). For instance my husband is this manly military officer, who likes his rugby and blended malts, but he also shares my love for beautiful flowers, cute babies, baroque Music or Miyazaki pictures... To me that is the definition of being "sain et équilibré" (having a healthy and balanced mind), and it is a fine quality !
@Mr_KhaBoom

@@elisedasvin170 Hey, everyone is free to say what's on their mind, and your input is appreciated! It helps breakdown the whole stereo-typing of what a man should or shouldn't be. I think more men need input from women like you, to be honest. Of course everyone is different, but it doesn't hurt to hear differing thoughts and opinions.

Honestly Raphael, that's what made me stick around the last few years. Unlike other men's style channels you nor Preston nor Kyle came off as overly concerned with your masculinity. The focus was always being a better version of yourself. Or to put it simply, a gentleman.

@@tiborklein5349 I'm with you there. I still follow them, and I like most of their content, but as of lately, I feel like they focus too much on "what to do to impress women", or "top five things that will get their attention" etc. And honestly, it seems so superficial. While here on the Gentleman's gazette, they remain simple and focus on what's really important: self improvement, not seeking others' attention or validation. After all, in my opinion, being a man is all about living up to your code of honor/conduct, respecting others and standing up for what you believe; and not about striving for praise.

The most important component to being a man, in my view, is honoring your word: If you say that you will do something, you had better do it. Trust is the single most valuable currency you can possess: The dollar may become worthless tomorrow and even gold can lose value over time, but trust is _always_ worth something.

I would like just thank Gentleman's Gazette and its three most elegant, smart and well-spoken authentic gentlemen who actually explain people what does it mean to be the one. Additionally I thank you for all the job you do for showing the timelessness of classic men's style, for all tips, guides and in-depth articles. Frankly, you really taught me these necessary lessons and wisdom that my dad couldn't, and I appreciate it. I must admit that your slight informality in last videos is the very moment when you can make your dedicated audience excited just with a little bit of silliness (in positive meaning), and you have earned it with no doubt. I wish you luck and further success with making videos and writing articles, also I sincerely wish more people around the world (especially in Russia where I'm from) would join the followers of Gentleman's Gazette 🍀

Feelings aren's always good. The advice should be not to let the emotions errupt freely, but to rethink the emotional standard you are willing to express and dampen the feelings you feel are negative ( which requires time and awareness to process, and in this time it is the most important to stay calm and stoic; after you have figured out what you want to say - then you can start sharing it). Even if you are not violent, you can sometimes let slit some nasty things without even meaning them. And once they come out, there will be no way back. And it is a lot harder to repair your standing afterwards, than to keep your emotions in check.

ok, when i saw the title and thumbnail, i really thought this was about to go in a different direction. like an.... incelly direction. but, i mean this slapped me in the face for even suggesting it. many of these channels and pages about men and mens things usually go in that direction. so im glad to see this went a complete 180 on those ideals

"All I wanted to do, is be is more like me and less like you" Chester Bennington I don't know why but this video made me realise that you can listen/watch Linkin Park's song through the lens of 'this is what it means to be a man'. It's a perfect fit I believe.

Fantastic video! It gave me the confidence I needed, and all of your other videos have helped me express who I am in a classic, elegant manner. I was wondering, like how you did with James Bond and the kingsman, could you break down the way John Reese and Harold Finch dress from Person of Interest? It always fascinated me, and your videos are always awesome. Keep styling and singing your beautiful jazz!

These aren't exposed lies...these are actions deeply rooted in human nature. DON'T EVER bet against human nature. Society can impose standards and rules to modify and manipulate people in an effort to change human nature. We've all heard it, "We can evolve!, or "We have evolved". Translation: I want you to change so I will try and manipulate you. It works...for a while. Choose your path, be a gentleman. You will always stand apart. Understand it. Good luck!

I get that masculinity is not defined by physical strength but it certainly helps how others look at you. And it's such a great feeling to move a certain amount of weight you dreamed to do weeks/months/years ago.

Physical training is a very effective way to increase self confidence and to practice self trust and integrity. Also, it's an essential part of staying healthy on the long run. And health is one of the most important possession one can have.

I agree with this comment so much. People don't necessarily depend on others who are buldged and have huge muscles but they certainly treat people with huge muscles different than one who doesn't work out at all.

I really appreciate your effort of deconstructing toxic aspects of our society that may have remained unlistened to some of your audience if it had come from a feminist perspective. I recognize in this effort your awareness of your social responsibilities in endorsing masculinity and as a woman I really appreciate that you also take the brunt of redefining it in a modern and civilized way.

Did not expect this to be so based! Usually people into more vintage tend to be somewhat hung up on prior societal expectations. The message in this video is much appreciated!

I totally agree success should not be measured by wealth it should be measured by the impact you've had on people around you and weather or not your happy with how you've lived you life.

First. You all always look immaculate. Your sense of style is always great fun to see, as well as inspirational. Second, you bring up issues that we as men need to be willing to take up with each other and with our sons regularly. Please keep doing what you do.

As a girl I’m a slightly odd viewer of this channel. But honestly I find a suit on a guy gorgeous, esp if it fits well. If you can support yourself that’s all that’s needed financially for the most part. And when it comes to asking for help if you want a partner then odds are a partner wants a true partnership which means we support you and you support us. I personally like being able to make my friend or partner feel better just as much as I like having someone else make me feel better. I like to think we can all work out who takes on what role as a team with a partner.
