My dad used to come home from work at 12, 1 or 2 in the morning from his shift. He would always watch KZbin to wind down. Particularly, he used to love watching videos that helped him learn. One night, he talked to me and said "I found this video of a lady teaching Russian. But its weird, she's really quiet. I have to turn it all the way up to understand anything she says." My dad accidentally introduced me to ASMR

@i don't know who i'm В древности Ь и Ъ были короткими гласными (мягкой и твёрдой), а не знаками (ср. Темно - Тьма). Буква Ы вообще была сочетанием твёрдого звука Ъ и гласной І и писалась ЪІ ("твердая И"). Кстати, буква І была также частью таких букв как Я (IA), Ю (IOV). Буква У также была исторически лигатурой: OV. Со временем слитное написание этих букв привело к современному их начертанию.

My father is Russian but since my mother is latin american we always spoke Spanish at home. Since my dad didn't want to curse in front of us he would only curse in Russian cause he knew we wouldn't understand. Now the result is that the only Russian words I know are bad words, I just don't know what they mean... His favorite bad words were something like: Idikibinimats....what ever that means!

He says : "idi k ebeni materi", that means "go away" but in a rude form. The tête-à-tête translation is "go to bich mother", but you father doesn't mean your mother, of course, it's just an expression used by people when they are tired and don't want to argue. By the way it's not a beautiful word, so try to avoid it:)))

The Russian word for One, “Odin” is a remnant of Russia’s past being founded by Swedish vikings. Odin, the first of Asgard, the allfather. Edit: Relax guys. It was just a joke. I wish you a pleasant day.

No you're absolutely wrong...The rule is that the next time that you think that you have a good idea, just ignore it. However "Wednesday" stands for "Wotansday" and Wotan is another name for Odin. "Viking Rus'". is how the Vikings gave "Russia " it's name.
