Hi Jeanette. Thank you. I don't have the poncho for sale because it was something I made and kept from Daniel's first shearing.

❤ I learned so much from your video. I always enjoy seeing your sweet animals. The alpacas have such tender faces and make such tender sounds (communication). I loved seeing all the items you make from the fiber. Of course, my very favorites are the guardians. Smiley Esther, communicative Tacoma, and ‘my’ precious David. Thanks for sharing your life with us. ❤

I'm so glad to hear that you liked the video. Yes, the alpacas are really sweet and they communicate well if you just listen to what they have to say.

I wish I knew your secret. My 8 girls are terrified. They will eat from my hands, but we could NEVER halter them out in the pasture. I really am impressed!

If they weren't born there with you, I think it takes a really, really long time for most to trust.

Awesome video…. I love how you interact with all your animals! Two questions….. do you think regular scissors like you’re using would work on an Icelandic sheep? And how do you keep your Pyrs fur so pristine!! My lgd’s definitely look like working dogs lol
@BigHornMountainAlpacas Жыл бұрын
Hi. I would think this type (fiskar scissors) would work on sheep too. For my Akbash/Great Pyr dogs I don't bathe them at all so the natural oils repel dirt when they get wet and dirty. They really are self cleaning. I brush them occasionally and also trim their nails when needed.

@@BigHornMountainAlpacas thank you so much for this video! I picked up a pair of Fiskers and sheared my Icelandic sheep with them and it was an AWESOME experience for everyone concerned! Super easy and I was able to get a whole side off unlike with regular sheers. Thanks again!
