This is the first time that I really felt that it will not be much longer before we will not see him perform again. He has been making music since my childhood in the mid 60’s, until now. Always on the radio from every decade. Remarkable guitarist, singer and composer. A true icon. We are losing these greats.

Not sure why you got that feeling. I get the opposite. I find it amazing that at close to 80 yrs old, EC can still perform at this high level. It proves that when you are that gifted and talented, even in your later years you have enough left inside to still be on a level above 99% of today's players. His vocals have stayed pretty much top shelf as well. He has had an amazing career and life. Hear is to a lifetime of excellence.

Wrong. It's the new Mercedes Benz Blue Crossroads guitar. Krause from the Fender Custom Shop did a recent video and how it's available only in very limited numbers. It looks black until the light hits it just right. The color is actually a factory Mercedes color from one of EC's cars. @@gentryallen

On my 63rd birthday, I reflect that I have been an EC fanatic since I was 10 years old. I've always tried to separate his music from his politics - and as a UK citizen that wasn't easy following his 'racist rant' episode! However, his support for RFK, his recent collaboration with Van Morrison and his constant promotion of anti-vax narratives, is pushing me to the limit. Everyone is entitled to their view, but with public profile comes a degree of responsibility. Unfortunately, Eric is increasingly feeling to me like that embarrassing uncle that turns up at a family party.

I'm 72, had Covid 19 three times between mid 2020 and the end of 2021. I never took the vaccine and would have fought tooth and nail anyone who tried to make me take it. In the rush to create it, only effectiveness was tested. Side effects weren't even on the radar.

I disagree, artists evolve, they play differently,write differently. The guy is nearly in his 80s,he is not going to play like he did in his twenty. However, look up the journey man tour and from the kradle tour of the late 80s and 90s, he played better than he did with cream or the dominoes.

Sounds excellent! He is 79, can't play like he did 20, 30, 40, 50 years ago. At this point, there are good days and great day's . If you saw Michael Jordon drive to the basket today, do you think he would be as fluid and fast ?
