This is one of the best demonstration's i've see on KZbin for this bike. I have the Sport ver. of this (2017 same bike). and with right at 5,000 miles with only one small repair. It''s a fast bike once the CV restrictions are removed.

i really like the look/design of this scooter.especially with the open area where you place your feet. Some of the scooters look like they are built for people who are 5 feet tall (nothing wrong with that) but a lot of riders are 6 feet and taller (and the couple model of scooters that I am looking at that can are designed for larger riders are out of stock, and who knows when they will be back in).

Yeah for the taller folks the scooter options dwindle! Good luck finding one.

If you buy this and lose the gas cap it will cost you over $100! Because they have to replace everything with a key, and the mechanic will not be cheap, 1 gas cap will cost you well over $100 that is unheard of, and even Roughhouse themselves has acknowledged this has a bad issue, so if you buy this bike know how to work on them or it gets expensive.

I’m 5’3 looking for a scooter, I found a roughhouse for really cheap. Do you think some one who is 5’3 without tall shoes can ride it with a low profile seat and my feet touching the floor of the scooter? I’m a college student and don’t know much about scooters

I saw this model on the second most convenient to me dealer’s site and I thought this looks more masculine than the Buddy, so I may get this instead. North Carolina is relatively lenient on their moped laws, but definitely not on COVID guidelines so I probably can’t get my permit renewed until around mid-February to be able to get the plate. Ah well I might buy the laptop I’m wanting first, I don’t need this moped too badly because I always have a ride to work and I’m planning on going overseas eventually to help the Lord spread the Gospel in His strength, not mine.

This is one of the videos that helped me narrow down my choices, so thank you! I had a couple questions. I was wondering how tall the demonstrator was. I am 5’9” with bad knees, so I want to make sure my feet are mostly on the ground at a stop. Would I be ok with the regular seat, or would I have to change it out for the low profile? Also, is it completely necessary to wait until the first maintenance to derestrict? I live in NY and I was thinking of asking them to see if the dealer could do it. Can you just have it done upon sale and keep it under a certain speed until a couple hundred miles? Thank you!
@VespaPortland Жыл бұрын
If I remember correctly, Katy was no more than 5’5 tall. You could derestrict at the time of sale, but it’s not recommended by Genuine. I don’t think it’s gonna do any long-term damage personally. I don’t think the Roughhouse has a low profile seat, but I could be blanking on that while writing this. Best bet is to go to your local dealer and sit on one and see if feels comfortable and go from there. Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoy the scooter when you get it!
@exsleepyink Жыл бұрын
@@VespaPortland Thanks so much for the info! Maybe I won’t need it, if she’s that height (although it did look like she was wearing tall shoes while riding haha). Genuine sells a low profile seat separately, on the site. Im guessing it’s probably the same or similar to the sport.
