Same here. I don't use them very often. but when I pull them out they still impress me. They have the Sony sound signature and while I wasn't sure if they were any good good before I got other headphones I realize now after owning 6 other pairs of top notch headphones that the made in China are very nice sounding headphones once you put a quality amp on them.

I got these for free from work, genuine too. Been my headset for over 10 years, I probably haven't treated them right. I don't have an amp or anything special for them and the leather is cracked and I had to replace the ear pads already and those are falling apart already too (they were cheap). I gotta buy a quality set of ear pads.

lol they have fake black box ones too... really though the build quality of the fakes is visually noticeable. And I don't mean cosmetic bs like glitter. The audio though seems to be ridiculously good for the fakes in comparison, they even have the same driver. BUT i've owned two fakes and they both got damaged on me which is disappointing.

I've researched a little more at the sonys and it seems like there are alot of fakes out there and I'm kind of worried about getting them so I think I'm gonna save up my money for some Grado sr325is. Do you have any experience with these or other grado headphones

I love seeing these old school headset videos, still debating which one should I grab from Sony series. I know Sony mdr7506 are always the go to it seems perhaps someone could point me in the right direction? I prefer flat sound since I use equalizers to adjust my audio.

Id watch out for these v6s and v700s cause I saw them. I got fake 900s and got conned finally I saw they were from china and 30 days later they came I didn't want to return them instead of saying made in thailand they said made in china. Then 1 year later I bought zx500s for 35 and they sound better

funny coz i bought the fakes without realizing a few years ago on ebay for cheap, used them for over 2 years and loved them, still got them, replaced them with audio technica ws-55

To be honest i owned a fake one for 2years and i didnt realised till i saw that video and informed myself about that. I just informed myself about that Model again because my v900 broke and i wanted to buy a new one but then i realised i got a fake one. And i dont wanted to spent over 200bucks for real ones. So i bought another brand/model.

Theres no metal....it's all plastic. Those must have sit in a a hot cargo container for a while if yours are already brown. Mine were black and eventually turned brown. Mine are made in China but I don't think it matters as all the parts are still the same even on the China made versions.
