Thank you! Wow, it sounds like you will have a full day! 😀 If I can offer a suggestion since it's your first time, it's best to let both of those designs dry out completely before you dye them. It will be easier to get good color saturation without white streaks. I'm sure you already know that, but I want your shirts to turn out fantastic. Have fun! 😀

Hello! I'm still a beginner and I was really fascinated by your amazing geode tie-dye shirts, I just want to ask if is it okay to just use rubber bands instead of sinew? Are those white lines still achievable even though I am just going to use rubber bands?
@FunEndeavors4 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Achieving the white lines with rubber bands will be difficult. Sinew is wax coated and so it forms a barrier when it is pulled really tightly until it locks down on itself that won't allow the dye into that area. You would have to wrap rubber bands really tightly to get a similar effect. Here is a link to the sinew that I purchase: amzn.to/2EF28Lu

Whats the wooden tool the sinew is wrapped around?
@FunEndeavors4 жыл бұрын
It is a sinew puller that I purchased from Nikolay Savin. Here is a link to where you can contact him if you are interested in purchasing one. facebook.com/nstiedye/

Will twine work?
@FunEndeavors3 жыл бұрын
No, not very well for a geode. Sinew is a wax coated string and the wax coating won't allow the dye under the sinew lines. That's what makes the white lines in the geode. You can tie a geode with twine, but the dye will run under the twine and you won't have any of the white definition lines.

@@FunEndeavors thank you for your help.I'll get the sinew,this is my first tie dye attempt 👍
@FunEndeavors3 жыл бұрын
@@jerrychapman7091 that's great - I hope you have fun! When you use the sinew, be sure and pull it as tight as you can. You will feel it "lock" and tighten on itself. When that happens, you know that you've gotten it tight enough to keep the are underneath white.

Yes, it's the runoff from the melting ice and dye.
