This video from Geoff gives me shivers every time I hear it. He and his team did such a great job with everything - arrangement, vocal tracks, makeup, costumes, lighting. It's the best solo video he's done, IMO. This video I would have to rate at TWO Geoff-slaps: for the expressions when Geoff started singing in that deep, darkened bass he used for the 1st singer, and then again for the surprise and joy when the 4th singer came in with his tenor range. Geoff really showed off the different ranges of the dwarves in this video, unlike their earlier one Far Over the Misty Mountains Cold, where 3 of the 4 stayed in harmony all of the time and it was much more difficult to tell which of them was singing what part, even through you could hear some of the higher parts in the harmony.

Geoff writes four or five part harmonies and this is his way of singing all tha parts. And he is comfortable throughout his range, which is actually five octaves. He also played the piano, filmed it, edited it too. It's all him and his wife Kathy as manager. However he does get help with the lighting from Eli from VP. Layne and ex member Tony also help out when necessary with canera work or sets. But the rest is him. You might enjoy VoicePlay's The Dragonborn Comes, from the game Skyrim. It's a favourite of mine.

I love this sooo much. Geoff's cover is so sad and melancholy. I cry every time I watch this. Geoff always impresses me with his arrangements. I am still amazed that he has a 5-octave range. Eli did an amazing job with the lighting. Great Reaction

Great reaction you two. Thank you for the shout-out. Ronsbrat525 and Jacky Friedman are both me. Depends on if I'm on my phone or tablet. Geoff did Rains of Castemere from Game of Thrones in August. Voiceplay is very diverse so they have done most every genre. All of them are extremely talented.

Thanks for putting my name up there. I always tell people my last name is pronounced like a speck of dirt. Way Down is marvelous and fun to watch. As a gamer, react to Dragonborn Comes Skyrim or Halo theme. VoicePlay also has a collection of ACA Top Ten Video Games, Broadway, Disney, Movie Themes, Disney Villians, Disney Heroes, Disney Sidekicks, and a bunch more. They don't usually dress up for those but sit around the microphones and while each song is short, there are 10 of them.

I really really love Skyrim and all of the music ❤ Haven't played it in ages but still hums on Dragonborn Comes from time to time 😂 And I love Disney, superheros and villians so I think I might be a VoicePlay fan, even though i haven't heard them yet 😅 it do sound like they have great taste ❤

If you did nothing but react to Voiceplay and Geoff, I would be very happy. I had never heard this song before, and it's just a wonderful performance. He accurately depicted the sorrow, fear, courage, and determination of men going to war in the face of destruction. He did Far Over the Misty Mountains Cold from the first Hobbit movie, he was pleased that the same dwarves were available to do this one. His version of Sound of Silence is the only one (so far) where he sang all of the harmony but did not show multiples of himself. Great reaction! And you pronounced my name exactly right!! Kudos for that!

I think this is the best example of Geoff's range, all 5 octaves Liked your shock with his high notes along with the low ones. Many have believed the clones were all different people. 😅 Now you should watch Ghost Riders in the Sky, Blackbird and Way Down

If you like fantasy and games you should checkout Voiceplays cover of The Dragonborn comes from the game Skyrim they have also done a cover of the theme tune to the game Haloalso Geoff has done a cover of Far over the misty mountains cold from the first hobbit movie. Voiceplay have also done covers from the films like The nightmare before Christmas, Maleficent, Pirates of the Caribbean and many Disney films like Moanna and The little Mermaid and Encanto all of which are highly recommended by many reactors and fans. They almost always go all out on the production of these songs using full costumes and makeup this is why they are known as the theater kids of acapella. Keep up the good reactions, will be watching with interest 👍👍
