the grinch actor remains a secret to this day. grinch actors who work in the parks are not allowed to work as a grinch outside of the park, as part of their contract, so we suspect it may have been one of the park grinches that did it. he was voiced by Eli though, and he did a great job!

Adriana’s parents are friends of the guys in VoicePlay. A couple years ago, they surprised Adriana on her 15th birthday with an invitation to sing with them on their Frozen II video. Then at Christmas time she did this one. She’s also done a couple since, including the most recent - Good 4 You. She’s still young enough that her mother had to accompany her on set. I think she has a bright future as a performer if she chooses. VoicePlay always credits people in the credits, so you can always look there. But in this case it won’t help you. We don’t know who was in that makeup. But from a recent discussion on a Pattycake zoom call, I can tell you a couple fun facts. This grinch has much the same look as the one appearing in Pattycake’s most recent video. Tony and Layne discussed the lengthy process. The prosthetic that covers most of the face is a one time - or at most two time if they are really careful - use. Before it is placed on the actor, the painting of the prosthetic takes as long as 4 hours to prepare. It is then placed on the actor’s face and very closely fit so that the facial expressions come through on the video. And when choosing an actor for the Grinch, Pattycake chooses an actor not for his portrayal of the Grinch, but for their ability to portray Jim Carey (whose portrayal is probably the best know live action Grinch.). Also, cast members portraying the Grinch at Universal Studios are prohibited from playing that character elsewhere.

Sorry, nope, it's not Earl. It's my understanding that his name couldn't be made public because of his pre-existing contract with Disney. For the longest time, I thought it was Tony (Wakim, ex-VP and current Pattycake Prods with Layne), but I was wrong too. Mystery Grinch, I guess! I love this one, and all reactions to it are a great excuse to watch it again! Thanks for doing this, and Merry Christmas!

My favorite with Adrianna is We're Good, which I *think* was Cesar's first as a VP member. If you haven't done Mission: Jingle Bells yet it's a hoot. There's also one without a video called Santa and I Know It off their Peppermint Winter sampler that is definitely worth putting on your play list. My guess on the Grinch is either Tony Wakim, Geoff's brother in law who did Santa in Oogie Boogie, or a studio actor from Pattycake. *shrug

they have never revealed who Grinch is per there request. most likely it is a old friend of Geoff's who works at universal and may even play the Grinch for shows at the parks.

I believe Arellano stresses the an bit as in : ArelANo. Not sure if I spelled that right but that's how it pronounced to the best of my knowledge. J.None (Jesse Nunn) is amazing, as they all are. I believe he was head hunted by the US Navy to sing with them. With good reason. We don't know who is playing the Grinch. I've seen it suggested that it's Disney's Grinch actor, as they do have a lot of connections with Disney. You can see Adriana with Voiceplay in Frozen 2, and in We're Good. She's good. :)

Thank you for such a great number of good laughs, with you. It's always a shared moment when you struggle with names. Compared with English, my native language has a very different take on pronunciation versus spelling: what you hear is how you spell. Nothing of that 'queue' pronounced as something else entirely. Your moniker, well, you now how it sounds. In my language it would look like this: soosi däd (the vovel in there which doesn't show as it should, is an a with dots).

Hey SauceyDad, i love watching your reactions. You should go check out J None video of interview of "your a mean one mister grinch" here on youtube, it kinda alludes to who might be playing the grinch but doesn't, lol. I still think it is but to each their own opinion. As for Arianna i'm pretty sure she was around 15 to 17 during this video which shows her absolute talent even at a young age.
