He's off key on his own song, but ok... Geoff's voice was amazing back in the day, one of not if the best live voices ever in metal. Even for his age he's not all that impressive today, compare him with Bruce Dickenson who's about the same age and he's fallen off a lot less. Plus as person he's fucking asshole. In someways I view him like Paul Di'Anno loved his voice but a complete tool only with Geoff it's not because of substance abuse it's because that's who he is.

Listen to the lyric from the original recording of this track. "I've always known that the MIRROR never lies" He hasn't hit those notes in 20 years & won't sing anything off the first few albums because of it. I don't blame him, Geoff had fantastic range back in the day, but has a mainly low register. Most singers lose their high end with age, but it was bound to happen to Geoff because he had a deep voice to begin with. Todd is lucky to have a high register so he probably won't encounter this issue with age. Aside from that, I saw the footage of the way Geoff behaved toward his bandmates on stage, spitting in Scott Rockenfield's face repeatedly & punching Wilton in the face before the same show.I lost all respect for him as a person at that point.

I think Geoff was incredibly important to their success, but so was Chris. Often times it is the combination of elements that is what allows both to achieve more than they would have apart. I dont think either would have been as successful without the other.

@@EpicWarDog I'd say they are BETTER without him.Listen to the lyric from the original recording of this track.

Saw Geoff and the two guys to the right perform in the northern parts of Sweden, just before the Covid outbreak. I was in the very front of the stage. The stage was small ! Really small, the club held like 150 people. Geoff performed like it was freakin Rock in Rio or something. The grace and magnitude of him om that stage really struck me ! It was very memorable and he was great !

Glad Geoff knows how to change his voice with age, it’s definitely cool when you see an artist still able to hit his notes the same way as before, but I think it’s more astounding when they can change the notes, pitch, to create a better performance and to account for nature, great performance, one of the best.
