He's off key on his own song, but ok... Geoff's voice was amazing back in the day, one of not if the best live voices ever in metal. Even for his age he's not all that impressive today, compare him with Bruce Dickenson who's about the same age and he's fallen off a lot less. Plus as person he's fucking asshole. rticle15 Hell yeah. They knew just how to dial it in for Geoff’s voice. Makes all the difference. Makes a great singer sound even greater

Saw Geoff and the two guys to the right perform in the northern parts of Sweden, just before the Covid outbreak. I was in the very front of the stage. The stage was small ! Really small, the club held like 150 people. Geoff performed like it was freakin Rock in Rio or something. The grace and magnitude of him om that stage really struck me ! It was very memorable and he was great !

Geoff Tates voice has held up way better than most singers in his class over the years. I can think of a few other male vocalists that need to go lay down somewhere and give up on singing anymore.

Glad Geoff knows how to change his voice with age, it’s definitely cool when you see an artist still able to hit his notes the same way as before, but I think it’s more astounding when they can change the notes, pitch, to create a better performance and to account for nature, great performance, one of the best.
