They definitely made this song for the moment and with zero regard for how hard this was to perform it regularly even in Tates prime.. Let alone almost 40years later. Respect for still sounding good in his 60s even with lower key. Barely falsetto, full voice... Jovi, dokken those guys would kill to be able to still sing like this.

@@JPL1311 Seen QR 6 times with Geoff, 2 on Mindcrime, 2 on Empire, 1 HITNF and 1 Q2k, now this solo show. Every show I have seen they ended with Take Hold of the Flame. He sounded really good in Ft Lauderdale on 9/24 too. Really like the band too, they were tight and had great sound.

Was there with my buds.Geoff was on the money.Wish more people were there.The table set up is ridiculous at rock/metal shows.I know we're old as shit,but we stood for the whole show just about.Geoff still sounds amazing at 62.....So great to be back to seeing,and hearing live music again.

As far as I'm concerned Geoff Tate IS one of the best hard rock/metal vocalist. He's in the same category as.Bruce Dickenson, Rob halford, Sammy Hagar, Michael sweet amoung others. Keep on rocking

Glad to see Geoff Tate back at it and sounding better, I had heard him a few years back and boy he didn't sound to well. This last year or two he seems to be doing much better. Happy for him, and his voice is still killer for what he can still do. Sure he can't sustain or hit some of his old stuff but he sounds plenty fine for me to rock out and you just cant mistake his sound- wish I was there.

Tate sounds fantastic. Cannot believe Bon Jovi is playing large arenas and cannot hardly sing and Tate kills it in a small venue. If rather see Geoff over Bon Jovi hands down.
