I'm there now - three kids and not as much time. A 30-40 minute session three to four times a week is doing the job well and not beating the crap out of me.

Can you record a video about the front squat, press and clean? I feel a little click in my right shoulder while pressing and a little clicking in my right knee (both without pain). Or do you already have some videos about it?

I'll tell you. Due to recently diagnosed shoulder issues, I am doing the double clean, for reps, side of The Giant. My shoulders are maintaining strength.

Truly appreciate the honesty. So many fitness "gurus" believe their way is the only way.

Can the Giant be combined with other exercises? For example, barbell squats which is something i just like doing. I also like mountain hiking 2 or 3 days a week. Or is my life confined to doing the Giant and then resting on my days off wasting my life? (even though i don't feel like resting and laying around)
@drunknnirish6 ай бұрын
I cant speak to the Giant specifically but I have ran ALOT of various clean and press focused programs and the good ones always leave room for other things, mainly because the C&P alone isn't enough. Hiking is basically active recovery and squats of any kind are a completely different stimulus than the C&P so as long as you can recover I personally dont see any issues.

@@drunknnirish I meant to say, mountain biking, but same thing, just a lot more fun on the descents. But yeah, I'm guessing it's okay as long it isn't a redundant exercise like barbell military press.

@powskier - You can run other things loosely in 'THE GIANT.' I detail how inside.
@GeoffNeupert6 ай бұрын
@drunknnirish - I disagree. Plenty of guys have found "C&P alone" enough - sometimes more than enough. It's not just the exercise, but how the program is structured. Go do 10 sets of 10 reps with a pair of 32s and see if it's "enough." ;-] At the end of the day whether "C+P alone" is "enough" is dependent upon the individual and his goals, training history, and injury history. Hope that helps clear things up.

@@GeoffNeupert I have the Giant from 2 years ago. I never saw anything about that. Has it changed?

Maximorium is better than the giant. The added squats and snatches makes the program complete. Just my opinion.
