Tameem Moaleji doing the dishes or washing your hair (after washing most of the filth off) seems to leave my hands pretty clean. Also lots of moisturiser before you start as dry hands soak up oil and grease

The Greek yoghurt container is critically important. It HAS to be the natural yoghurt. Unlike natures natural bacterial delight, the saccharides of Unnatural yoghurt are induced (create undesirable covalent bonding) by the molecular matrix of the plastic. This disrupts the magnetic field of any ferrous object in the container, rendering any rust removal futile. Dont think I didnt pick that up G Man!

I mean, nearly every 4x4 that’s been made since as far back as I can remember has had some sort of front axle disconnect. I don’t know why anyone would think it’s a bad idea. Also, finally a new video. We’ve missed you.

rednwhitecooper that's why the Range Rover was so revolutionary as it had permanent 4x4 drive with all the benefits of safety and none of the drawbacks of steering wheel kicking in your hand and the vehicle hopping and skipping along the tarmac. All due to the centre differential and the ability to lock li.

Watching for a second time on KZbin because I missed you voice. ;) One of the reasons I like your channel so much is because you actually finish projects. So many people I have subscribed to just gave up half way through never to be heard from again. Looking forward to the next installment. Regards, Silas

I'm quite happy with my AVM's, better acceleration, lighter steering and I like the look of them... Added greasers to my top pins so the hub haters can go whistle... Nice video, that is going to be one perfect Land Rover.
@heathwellsNZ4 жыл бұрын
I had AVM hubs in my 2A and the best thing was FINALLY getting rid of the oil leaks around that felt seal and castle nut... When I was a member of the Canterbury Landrover Owners Club... many had these and as far as I recall - everyone thought they were great... Mine was a daily driver and the petrol savings were definitely tangible.

Love your channel, can easily say I am having a blast remembering my Old 72 S3. well as to the fuel consumption, that mostly depends on how "heavy" your foot is, I had a Petrol '72, and from my experience it pretty much chose the speed it wanted to drive at, you could plunge the accelerator all you wanted (and yes eventually it would go up to ludicrous speed 80 km/h :P ) but it would mostly just spit the gas out of the muffler. my suggestion if any L/R petrol engine owners are interested in fuel consumption is 1. do not change the carb for some after market part. Use the original and tune it well 2. install the hubs, they do help 3. install a vacumm gage in the cabin, so you can better tell when fuel is been wasted because of your lack of manners with the pedal ! Cheers :)

I had a 60 Series diesel Landc*****r with free wheeling hubs. wear and tear aside (no problems over 300,000 klm). I kept meticulous fuel consumption records with the hubs locked and unlocked. There was absolutely no difference and, if kept locked, no need to activate them in 4WD situations.. Thanks for the videos, takes me back to our using Land Rovers in the late 60's in the Pilbara and Kimberley regions of Australia.... Alloy heads and iron blocks in the 6 cylinder models did not mix well with bore water coolant plus we became expert broken rear axle exchangers.

I have a 1990 Daihatsu Feroza which has hubs that look suspiciously like this, with the brake rotors mounted to the back. This apparently requires disassembly of said parts to replace the rotors, which being the original ones are pretty well rooted and undersize now. I've definitely been avoiding doing that job, thanks for the encouragement 😉

I remember two series 3 109 that my step father had . The first one was a 4 cylinder without freewheeling hubs, the second was a 6 cylinder with freewheeling hubs. The six was considerably less noisy, mechanically, on the highway. A big plus!
