I was watching so many other coaches and all of them gave advice that were very extreme towards just being a cold fish and losing all emotions towards her like it's nothing. But you, goddamn! Relationship 7 years my girl was stressing out on work but I didn’t see that signs we didn’t really spend that quality time as I was content and comfortable with our everyday. My girlfriend said she needed a break to find herself and needed space. I knew I needed help with pst traumas in my life and sought counseling for that. She didn’t agree at first but finally understood where I was coming from with it. She said she needs a break but texts me every day and then if I delay in texting her back or I read the text and don’t reply she gets angry with me like I’m trying to play a game which I’m not doing at all. I am simply busy. Like she wants the break but wants me there at all times when she needs. Hey Geoffrey, what if the tables are turned and I have been the one initiating contact after giving her space and she has since then met another guy? We have been texting each other back and forth but she is really cold and I think she might be afraid to tell me to stop even though I have said to her that she can do that any time she wants. I try to communicate my changes and providing her with safety but its not ideal by any means. It’s really the only medium available for communication at this point. How can I show my changes if I can’t meet up with her since she is saying “it’s not a good idea”. Not sure I’d agree with the non being a cold fish part, here’s why: - show enthousiasm when she reaches out: she’s actually reaching because you didn’t. she’s wondering what’s up with u. If u instantly show enthusiasm it will just confirm that u were waiting for her to come back. So ur still given, ur not a challenge anymore. Im not saying that u should be an asshole but u should answer in a simple, polite, positive and concise way. She needs to feel that u are pulling away and that she has to work her ass for u to come back, otherwise she will leave again - get a meeting schedule: she’s reaching and as soon as she comes back u show interest and a need to see her. She needs to feel that u are moving on, that she’s losing u, otherwise she will leave again. All in all, SHE has to take the initiative to at least put forward the idea of a meeting. Also when it comes to leaving doors open. Even though u should not be a cold fish and not answer to her or being rude or anything, if u leave door open she will sense why ur doing this. Ur doing it because u want to move forward with her and ur implicitly inviting her to come to u. She has to feel that u don’t really care anymore and that u will just take what she has to offer but ur not giving anything. Why ? because u already made a lot of effort and this is actually probably why she pulled away, because u were to present and showing to much interest and neediness

My partner she moved out, we were dating for 6 months and followed by living together for another 6 months. She moved out because she says she needs space and time for herself and be alone with her 2 daughters, and to process previous relationship breakup. (she was with a guy who gave her 0 attention) First she talked about needing space by going back to live seperatly, but a few days later she changed her mind and said she wants to end the relationship, because our situation; 4 kids under one roof which is too overwhelming for her, dissagreements on the education of the kids (hers and mine) and having different visions on many things. What if I text my work while she’s at work asking how her day is and I’m getting the “it’s fine I guess” or “it’s whatever” responses. Basically the opposite of this video is happening to me to where she isn’t texting openly unless it’s about our children. She opened up to me last night while picking up the kids. We talked for about an hour and she says if anything was to ever come back it probably won’t be anytime soon. We have civil conversations and even have laughs about certain things outside of our children face to face however over text it’s a totally different ball game

My GF of 1.5 yrs asked for space a month ago. She had a death in the family & runs 2 businesses plus raising a family. She feels conflicted bcuz we've had several fights lately, mainly bcuz I was being needy & not being understanding of her issues, which pushed her further. So I backed off & gave her her space (we are long distance but I can easily visit at any time). She's told me the issues she doesn't like, such as me reacting badly to things sometimes to certain things, & that it adds to the stress she already has. I dont bother her, no calls no texts. She sends me a selfie every few days, & I respond kindly (no cold fish), nice to hear from you I hope you're doing ok are my replies. Her replies are usually 2 or 3 words, then I dont hear from her again for several days until she sends another selfie. Obviously this is a good sign, but so damn confusing, & if I reply asking to see one another my gut says she is not ready for that. Sooo wtf, any advice it appreciated

Love the communication content you put out here. One question is regarding my partner wanting space and a break because of 2 past relationships trauma as they are affecting how she connects and disconnects with me and needs time to work on herself, but still sends texts messages that are usually media links. It's been about 1 month and a bit now that I have been giving her this space, as well as these texts with random texts that say she hopes I am doing well. Can I ask her to go out for some food, a walk and connect, even if it is just as friends? It will be hard for me as I miss her dearly and we both agree there is something different about our connection and that she wished we had met before these last 2 that have caused her a lot of damage. The break that is needed is not related to me, she keeps telling me it is not me and that she needs to heal and work on herself and has a lot going on in her head with her past that she is still needing to deal with. Hey man great vid, i was just wondering if it is difrent in a far distance relationship to were u cant see eachother evryday, cus what happend in my case is that we got into a break for now and she texted me asking how i am doing in response i said was doing fine and asked her how she was doing, after that it enden with me saying i think about u alot hoping ur doing good and i love u and i dont know if that was the right thing to do since u said always leave the ball in her court and idk if doing that what i said is good, cus after that she just said i love u to and yea the conversation enden on that note after that. would like to know if this is a good sign or if i could have asked more. anyways thx for the vids.

@@GeoffreySetiawan so u cant change in a month time but lets say after the brake i can tell her that i found a way of a mind set so whenever im in doubt with myself saying stuff to back up and think again and then react and i make sure in the break to get that mindset stuck so eventualy i will change l, and then i know what to do to help the problem, if i say thaf after the break would u think that is a good direction? Or am i thinking the wrong way on "working on myself" cus i just want it to go away as well the lying, the not being sure on what i am saying is right, i just want it to go. So let me know if this is the right mindset and to explain it to her is gonna atleasg be a good step forward. Anyways thx for the feedback
