We can also just after finding the L and B we can multiply those numbers by 0.5 if they asked for km. Then multiply both of your answer's😊then add km2

Not sure what were they asking. However, yes you still need to convert. I understand in this regard that 4cm measured equals 1km on the ground. Not sure if I answered your question?
