To be fair, Whitefish is "urban" for Montana.

Very entertaining. You did well with this one, considering that you were in some remote areas -- the exact opposite of urban -- a few were chronically rural -- with hardly any sign of civilization in sight -- who in the Sam Hill labels the titles for these games? But nice job.

There is an Elkton, Maryland too

You did pretty well considering that some of the locations weren't even slightly urban!

You were close with reasoning for where an interstate might be found. I always remember for interstates- Generally, the lowest 1 & 2 digit numbers are South and West. The highest 2 digit numbers are North and East. 3 digit interstates work differently. Keep up the great content!

pointed roofs would be found in areas that get common big snows, ie Maine. smokey mountains are Dolly Wood, Appalachia, eastern mountain chain in the middle to lower part

FYI … Texas has tons of wineries, as do many other states. Don’t get too caught up in thinking “winery” = west coast/Napa 🍷😊. Fun video, per the norm!

My god you guys really know your way around the US. Daz has an amazing understanding of how things are set up here. I would have followed the logic that you guys chose for each location. Oh, I did figure out that Oregon location because we say a sign that read Reedsport and I've been there. Great job again guys. I really enjoy playing along with you guys. Throw in a UK version occasionally. ♥

Interstate code is odd numbers are North and South, even numbers are East and West , Highest numbers are in Northeast and lowest in Southwest. You had the even figured out, just got the odd one backwards, but good job. Most Americans don't realize you can use that code to go anywhere in the country. Then again we didn't have GPS back in our day. P.S. a 3 digit interstate is a bypass or a loop to avoid going through congested business districts A good example is I-285 around Atlanta Georgia.. I didn't know the town but had a feeling the one was Montana, it's nickname is big sky because the land is so flat rolling up to the mountains.
@ObelixCMM Жыл бұрын
That was a good tactic with IS 90, you just went wrong way.
@jlpack62 Жыл бұрын
Aiden isn't having it today! I get it. As for Interstates, the even numbers run east and west with highest numbers in the north and lowest numbers in the South. Odd numbered Interstates run north and south with the lowest numbers in the west and the highest numbers in the east. So, the intersection of Interstates 5 and 10 will be in the southwest and the intersection of 90 and 95 will be in the northeast.

Good try. On the Oregon round, that state uses different speed limit signs than the rest of the country. Notice at the 7:18 mark of the video it says Speed 45. That puts you in Oregon. Everywhere else in the country the sign would say Speed Limit xx. One suggestion for Aidan is to look around when the round starts. He tends to start moving without seeing what is behind him. There might be nothing behind him or there could be clues. Just a quick 360 could help with your location.

The Interstate Highways and the U.S. Highways work sort of the opposite of each other. For example, Interstate 90 would go east/west across the extreme north. U.S. Highway 90 would go east/west across the extreme south. This is done so we don’t have an Interstate and a U.S. Highway with the same number in the same space.

Those spots in Oregon and Montana definitely weren't urban. for Whitefish Montana I was thinking it was Alaska or maybe Montana or the far north of Idaho because of the tall skinny evergreen trees

Any time the speed limit sign says just "SPEED" and not "SPEED LIMIT" and you are in the US, you're almost certainly in Oregon.

People saying Daz is giving wrong directions. I say, He’s the dad, he’s probably been driving most of the night and is gonna start driving the next day. Especially if they get to the hotel and realize he made a wrong turn, he’ll say “ya I did! I’ll fix it tomorrow!” He’s got it down just can’t do it on this big of a scale! The whole US really?
@gosnooky Жыл бұрын
You guys never look at road signs or street signs - you always go for business signage. I knew that second round was Oregon the second I saw that highway 38 shield. Lean your state highway shields, and the numbering system for the US highway and US interstate systems. The rule with 2-digits interstates is even goes west-east with numbers increasing as you go north, odds go north-south increasing as you go east, so 90 with 71 and 77 would be closer to the northeast. Cross-country routes end in "0" and "5". The Great Lakes cause a barrier for I-90, so all roads squash together around Chicago and go around Lake Michigan. The US highway system is numbered opposite, so evens increase as you go south, and odds increase as you go north. This was done to limit numbering conflicts, which is why there is no I-50 or 60, because they would cross through the middle of the country where US-50 and 60 exist already which is why major east-west interstates skip from I-40 to I-70. There are exceptions, but it's a good guide.
