Went out searching for Lode Gold and found a very nice deposit in some Tertiary volcanics. We wanted to show you guys what to look for when hunting these types of deposits and how you can use a Gold bug 2 metal detector or a Flacon MD 20 to help locate that tiny Lode Gold. If you have experiences chasing Lode Gold ( Hard Rock ) then we would love to hear them so leave a comment below and if you love to learn more about Geology and how to use it to find Gold then just watch this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/j6Pag2mrjsSBm6s and smash that like button ....smash it HARD !!!!!

Undisputedly, Jeff is the best! Educated Geologist (rock hound). There is no substitute for formal education! 1.) Formal education. 2.) Social education. 3.) Actual experience. The craziest part of all of this is that only a handful of people will actually go out and apply what he's saying. This is by far the closest and practically the only video that I've actually been able to relate to while in the fields metal detecting. I will tell you that everything he's trying to tell you is absolutely true and accurate. It takes effort not only in the fields, but research comes first. Jeff, amazing video.

Legendary!!! More gold in Geo history than we think. Call me crazy but my theory is all gravel companies are just gold mines in disguise selling their tailings lol.❤
@Askjeffwilliams

@LuckyBaldwin777
@LuckyBaldwin777 Жыл бұрын
On the east side of Sacramento there's a gravel company that's been family owned for many years that's located in the old Folsom dredge field. Around Christmas each year they shut down for a week and give all their employees a week off with pay. The family gets together and pulls all the covers off the bottom of the conveyors and mines the dirt that's collected. Nobody knows how much gold they find, but it's enough to pay for a week off for everyone + the profit the family splits. Mom's driveway was made with aggregate from that gravel pit. There are tiny pieces of gold all through it.
@OUSurf2
@OUSurf2 Жыл бұрын
@@LuckyBaldwin777 wow!! maybe they need a guy to sweep the floors😉 I guess I should open up a sand claim lol sell fish tank rocks and pan the dirty dirt😂❤️‍🔥
@LuckyBaldwin777
@LuckyBaldwin777 Жыл бұрын
@@OUSurf2 They have probably 2 miles worth of conveyors and move a large amount of gravel and sand each year. The ground was dredged for 100 years until the 1960s when the price of the land was more than the gold in it. So dredging stopped and now a lot of the old dredge field has houses and strip malls on it. What the family is selling now is the dredge tailings. Mom's driveway was built the first year that gravel pit was open in '58. They didn't have long conveyors back then so maybe that's why there's tiny gold flakes in it. Maybe that's why they have such long conveyors lines there now -- to shake the gold out. The Home Depot sand that Jeff panned and got some gold out of might have come from that gravel pit. The real money in that hole is the sand and gravel. Has been for 60 years. The gold is just gravy. Is tough to survive on just gravy, so don't give up your day job.

Love the geology vids. Always learn something new. Falcon MD-20 is an amazing tool. I have mine strapped to 3ft piece of PVC. Sure beats moving around on your hand and knees. :) Admittedly, took me a while to understand the different noises the MD-20 makes. Also, seems like performance characteristics change over time even if you regularly calibrate it.

Looks like most of the surrounding hills in the lower and mid deserts of arizona both plant and geology wise. Is there a better indicator than just volcanic fields most of Arizona and the southwest fit that the description it would appear most of these deposits are associated with the Mexican plate collision and rift, newer volcanic zones such as the san fansico volcanic field appear to have been less mineralized? In AZ copper is king now but silver was one of the drivers before that. AZ still seems to have a fair amount of gold but the big question was it the tendency for the deposits to form pocket that led to a quick strike boom bust investment or the lack of water that limited it more.

I still have 3 buckets sitting never crushed them, because tested few rocks, gave me no gold so I didn't bother to crush the rest. Some veins give an unnatural bright yellow color, and it's heavy in the pan, but not a gold or pyrite. Could the yellow stuff be highgrade uranium?
