He speaks with bad words because he didn't like soft-toning his vocabulary. He refrained from cussing when on live TV. You could see George changed as he grew older as well. Why do you hate him? One of the things I admired about George Carlin was his anti-authoritarian nature, his ability to see beyond the immediate that concerned him that we tend to take for granted. His versatility and excellence with words, his step by step explanations of his ethics and morals, his vicious attacks on religion and government and the system of control we all experience. I will always admire and miss this man. I was very lucky to listen to him in my lifetime. He would hate the label, but I admire this man as a hero. I do not use that label or description lightly.
@MusicInfected9 жыл бұрын
+GoodAvatar He was never attacking no one , he was just observing. He said that many times, and there is a reason for that too....
@GoodAvatar9 жыл бұрын
MusicInfected Actually, he *frequently* attacked people. The military, religion, big business, the Vegas tycoons, American masses.... He attacked a lot. You could even argue that was his comedic style. It didn't start out that way, it evolved over time. I just read the guy's autobiography. Fascinating stuff.

+GoodAvatar George Most certainly is deserving being named a Hero . . . he was to me and always will be I guess. I loved this Guy . . . he was very Kind, patient, and very Intellectually superior . . . I think George was Genius !
@GoodAvatar8 жыл бұрын
Bobby Paradis You know, I think the anti-authoritarian in all of us loved this guy. He had such a good grasp of American politics and culture and had no problem pissing off the powers that be. Granted, he did it with an amazing grasp of language,culture, religion and a deep understanding of human nature. And he had issues so bizarre that it's hard to really wrap your mind around. Did you know that at one point he had so much cocaine that he hallucinated a conversation with multiple people in an empty room? His autobiography is fucking fascinating, man.
@GoodAvatar8 жыл бұрын
Jake Azz I think it might come with the territory. Comedy is all about exaggerating or examining something we take for granted, then enjoying the chuckles afterward. Many, many people are completely acceptable to the idea of being ruled over. They're okay with it. Comedians are saying, in a non-violent way..... Maybe we shouldn't be okay with it?

for etienne bindels, just watch a couple more videos, but I'll summarize: the USA is bought and sold. the people in charge own the country and have only their own interests at heart. Elections don't matter, nothing is going to change because the people who own the country own the politicians and they don't care, so just don't vote. pretty sure that sums up what George would have to say about any election since he died and in the future
