At an auction from the King music Center over in Melborne in Florida, I won the placard that they post outside about the event. And it's a big picture of George carlin and he autographed it. Well done, one of the best retrospectives on the man I’ve seen. Philosopher/poet, observer/jester, and writer/performer- George represented the best truth teller of all the comedians of the last 100 years. He cut through the facades, the accepted wisdom, the half-digested half truths that permeate modern life. He said he was divorced from the outcome, and wasn’t invested in whether we survived or not- but at least he was going to mock those who led us into oblivion as much as he could before he checked out. I believe he probably cared more than he wanted to admit, but he was never one to let sincerity cramp his comic persona and style. He gave himself permission to laugh at the human condition that was impossible to be healed from, he just allowed you to laugh yourself better. He led us away from the lies by shining the light with a mirror.

Very, very well done! Impressive. Captured him in a way that I always felt, but didn't have the information to enumerate. Thanks, man.🙂

George Carlin is my hero. I agree with what he said about society, the Gov't, schools, etc. If we ever needed him it's now. Rip George 🌹

I loved George Carlin..and I was and am also a great fan of Danny Kaye, finding out that like myself he admired him..makes me revere them both all the more.☺..i just wish that Mr Kaye could have known just how many children he inspired ..and mr Carlin as well..he wasn't just a great comedian ,he was also a great speaker on serious and significant issues..and able to do so both with sincerity and humor enough to lighten. The mood ,and enlighten people at the same time..im so sad he is gone..we need his to the point no b.s. manner of speaking more now than ever..him and Robin Williams ,both tragically gone too soon..and mourned still..by many..who never knew them..R.I.P. God bless them both..they are sorely missed.
