its true we've done everything in are power to step on those make them look, and feel, as if they have know investment of care in people or the planet. It's all about the class of morons who want everything to be class consciousness. If you have anything beautiful different enlightening to contribute you will be confined to being stabbed as a social worker. So fucking true. I agree with Jim Morrison now I'm going to get my kicks before the whole shit-house goes down in flames. No one is doing anything to help it but arguing either. Good people are starving, and they aren't going to miss the bullshit that has come in full-circle. Hello 2001 space odessy. Nature could care less about a conscience. That was SUPPOSE to be for us to do what a big joke!

I've watched this special and this bit a countless number of times, but for some reason, more than just laughing this time I got goosebumps and teared up towards the end - that's the genius of George Carlin

I thought he got bitter there towards the end,too. Not to say he didn't verbally have society by the short and curlies with his previous work,he was never one to hold back, but after Brenda died, he seemed to retreat within himself as far as lightening it up by mentioning any good things went. Still,I miss his candid commentary. I also love that he supported the LGBT community long,long before it was fashionable to do so. He made a lot of jokes at our expense,but it wasn't anything we weren't already saying about ourselves,lol. He was like the uncle or grandpa that you can't wait to get around because he's long ago lost his 'filter' and he spouts out what everyone else was thinking but didn't have the balls to say. Rest in peace, George,you beautiful, brilliant mother fucker,you!

Well he has lost his wife a few years back before he died would you be bitter if your wife or hubby passed away too?
@proud2bpagan
@proud2bpagan 5 жыл бұрын
@@gaylenewood7707 I most certainly would. I can't imagine the pain he must have experienced. After he lost his beloved spouse, his comedy began to remind me of the turn Samuel Clemen's writing took after he lost his daughter. They both still spoke of the absurdity they saw around them,but it took on a razor's edge.

@@proud2bpagan But you have to admit since he has been gone comedy ain't the same anymore it's too much censorship in comedy and too political.

A true modern sage! He’s only gotten better and better with age! Even his first act back in 58 when he was 21 was quite good, unlike anyone else back then. Hopefully he’s in a good place, despite all the great sarcastic humour! An artist like no other, with no likely replacement anywhere in sight. He’ll be missed! Thank God for services like YouTUBE and others keeping the flame intact with lots of Carlin to watch in the archives. Imho . . .

Yep. He'd be rooting for Covid-19 to kill everybody and I really can't blame him. Much like him I also root for natural disasters these days. Especially natural disasters in America since there really isn't anything like a large-scale plague to shake up a nation as decadent, lacking in compassion, and arrogant as ours.
