"Quirks" does not even come close to explaining why people build "Quene Anne" style wood/plaster/shingle homes... little pig houses of sticks... in Tornado zones... aren't they sacrificing their children to impress a dead Queen's descendants into giving them an extra dollar? ... and sacrificing their own children to die in a Tornado in order to do so? Why not just build Tornado Proof Houses? ... because i doubt the people in Europe are very Impressed by people who sacrifice their children to try to impress strange people on another Continent who give not one flying fuck whether or not they are even alive.

DAMIEN MILLS you're right! Pilots shouldn't be so confident as to think they can fly a plane without crashing it into the ocean. @Christina Reynolds But what George does is called comedy entertainment.
@bobdavis48485 жыл бұрын
@Christina Reynolds Many others do find him funny. It had already become clear to me, from reading your various comments, that you do not. You are assuming that he personally has "narcissism, hatred and disgust" in all aspects of his being, when all you are seeing here is what he puts forth publicly on stage which sometimes involves portraying a character, like how most of the lyrics of Randy Newman's song "Short People" were portraying a character. It's become clear to me from George's interviews that although parts of what George said in comedy routines reflected his real feelings, others were wordplay about English language oddities and exaggerated satires of prejudice for comedy effect, not meant to be taken entirely literally as you seem to assume. I did already write to you elsewhere that I saw your point about "near miss." You just took quite a broad swipe at many of George's fans you do not even know, by implying they are not intelligent, mature, thinking adults and that they are so ego driven they only use watching George's routines to try to feel like one. I am sorry about whatever seemingly went wrong in your life that contributed to your bitterness. Have a nice day.
@whale81745 жыл бұрын
@Christina Reynolds You ain't judging him fairly, cause you calling him all of these fancy terms without even knowing who he is really like. Worse of all, you judge him based on a character he is playing as a comedian, which is his job. You can judge him, sure, but when people respond negatively because they believe that your judgement is unfair, don't get angry.
@mattydigs9 жыл бұрын
This is why he was the greatest that ever did it. He could make anything funny through his keen wit and expert analytical skills. Not only that, his act aged like fine wine, simply getting better and better as the decades passed. He regularly turned nothing into something like it was a cakewalk throughout his whole career. Except often, like moments here, there was something and we were that much more... enlightened, if you will, for having him point it out. I don't throw this word around very often but he was absolutely genius.

Ohhh, George Carlin, you're killin' me.... Seriously, I'm hyperventilating and suffocating at the same time.

Can you imagine if George was alive with, smart phones, selfies, Justin Bieber, Miley Cirus & Donald Trump running for President? His acts would be off the chart. RIP George, so honored I got to see him live about 10 time. He was and will always be the BEST!!

The one that always puzzled me was "Please note that oxygen is flowing, even if the bag does not inflate." Who in the world is taking the time to notice a thing like whether or not the bag inflates in the middle of a crash anyway? Please don't tell me that somebody out there actually had the audacity to make a complaint about the bag not inflating after surviving a plane crash, so that they had to go and add that whole line to the security schpiel to set minds at ease.
@Deladus8 жыл бұрын
+NintendoCapriSun Woah, I went to respond to you before realizing who you were! Hi Tim! Anyway, I am sure it is so people don't take the bag back off in a panic because it hasn't inflated. I wonder how much time they would really have though.

@NintendoCapriSun Say what's your opinion on Carlin?

I think it's making it so people don't stop using it when they see that it isn't inflating.

Better yet, someone coming up to a crew member mid-crash, going: "I'm sorry miss, is this normal? The bag isn't inflating. Am I doing this right? I thought I heard all you said, but maybe I missed someth... *THUMP* *FLAMES*

"Spiel" is a German loanword. Consequently, the word starts with a "sh" sound but is still spelled with only an "s."

The thing that distinguishes Carlin from other comedians is that almost everything he talks about and how he relates to it is funny. Others may have good stuff mixed with mediocre stuff, but Carlin is consistently good throughout.
