What an inspired interpretation. She's made it her own but stayed true to the feel of New York at night. On a technical aspect. Wow... excellent velocity, dynamics and touch. Many kudos!

Amazing. She appears positively uplifted by the music -- and her ability to perform it.

This young lady is an absolute genius, I'm in awe just listening to her, surely a talent like this is God given plus a lot of hard work, long may she continue to delight audiences all over the world.

I like this .. It's well paced and very musical. The slower tempos and rubato probably not to everyone's taste but very effective. One of the best performances I've heard. The piano, recording and production are also excellent.

This piece is most difficult to play, and it was played so emotionally, beautifully gripping. Thank you. My older sister played this piece flawlessly. She took her life. Thank you for bringing back her memory, my talented, genius sister. Thank you. I will keep this recording with me always.

Carlene , I too have a deep emotional reaction to hearing this young ladies performance . I have the solo piano score (Harms Inc. N.Y. ) that my grandmother used to play for me . She passed in 1972 , but lives on through the music she introduced to me . Though I'm a rock kinda guy this is my most favorite song of all time and this young lady , as we say , " Rocks It " .

@@steveneverettewalker7330Thank you ever so for your reply! Why am I in tears? Diane, my sister was brilliant, yet, she was so betrayed by her religion, and by our Mother. I still mourn for her. We would play such difficult duets. She pushed me to be my best, and I will always hold those memories of us playing "Exodus", and other impossible duets for me to learn. Diana had an incredible ability to immediately learn to memory every piece she ever played, and to write music with extensive knowledge of difficult chords. Thank you for your kindness. Carleen

You are very welcome Carleen ! Thank you for responding . I am very new to KZbin and this world of digital communication and , well , I wasn't to sure of proper protocols about posting etc... Your comment was very moving and brought up such memories both wonderful and , yes , a bit painful that I was compelled to post . Very nice to have met you " digitally " ! Music is truly one of the greatest creations of mankind !

I must disagree with most previous comments: I did not appreciate the liberties taken in this rendition. Maybe it is best to emphasize 'rendition!' Compare with George Gershwin playing it himself!
