During a March 1 visit to the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University, 88-year-old former President George H.W. Bush - joined by his wife, former first lady Barbara Bush, and his granddaughter, Bush 43's daughter Jenna Bush Hager - was besieged by a flash mob dancing to a tailored rendition of Brooks & Dunn's "Boot Scootin' Boogie."

I hope this video helps other Americans understand that Southerners are fun-loving, kind, compassionate, loyal, courageous and they love this country.

Former President Bush is a combat veteran of World War II, he was a popular congressman, ambassador to the United Nations, Chief Liaison to China, and enjoyed high approval ratings throughout his time as President and only lost to Clinton because Ross Perot split the Republican vote in the south. He wasn't overly controlling and as president he served with restraint and respect for the power of the office. His respect has been rightfully earned.

In his age, President 41 still has to and enjoys any community service, when he feels healthier. Because of his patriotism. He has contributed life time long for our country and community services after he retired. I respect him very much of this. No wonder after President 43 retired, he has had the same America's spirit exactly like his dad President 41. He has spent much of his precious retirement time to honor our disabled veterans to help them to achieve their better life before and after his heart surgery. He also spent much time to help African ADIS women to cope with their precious life to conquer the ADIS and get well. He and Laura even rolled up their sleeves to paint their houses. I am touched by their hearts of the gold toward them. Their unselfish help will be remembered and cherished by people value the kindness and honesty. If more people learned what have they sacrificed their retirement for helping out our country and the world, if people understand how much they have done as their duties as the America's President by their America patriotism. I am sure and see more and more people are gradually realize and appreciate President 41and 43 now.

He is pleased and those young people look to be having a good time dancing and singing ..... and I believe only 4 X presidents lived long enough to reach 88 years of age... Good for you George! being a President in any country can't be much fun cause there is no way to please all the people all the time.... I know I sure wouldn't want that huge responsibility and I do admire those who have done their best trying to help our country stay afloat ~

If you hold the opinion that all politicians are worthy of disrespect you'll keep getting ones who don't deserve any. I hold my representatives to a high standard, if they don't live up to it I don't vote for them but I would never show deliberate disrespect to another person regardless of profession.

Teddy Roosevelt's quote, sourced from NOVAs: A MAN, A PLAN, A CANAL PANAMA: It upset many people in his own administration and he kept trying to justify it, he tried to defend himself, argue what the legality of it was, and finally -- later on -- in a speech he made in California, he said, "I took Panama and let Congress debate that while I went ahead and built the canal." But "I took Panama" is really about as accurate a way to say it as anyone could have and he said it himself.

Given the context from which the quote was taken, not particularly. Roosevelt was well known for his opinion on the role of the presidency and the limits that existed upon the position at the time.

My intense dislike for this war criminal is 100% percent genuine, and won't be so easy to dismiss. I think he, along with nearly all Presidents, used the office to line his pockets. It doesn't take Columbo to investigate this claim. "Noriega threatened 3,500 Americans etc." 3,500 is around the number of civilians who were killed in an illegal Panama war you feel was so necessary. Which btw, was over one soldier, who deliberately ran a checkpoint. "Thank God He saved us from Panama!" HAHAHAHA!

It was never stolen, it was purchased a long time ago and the US, at the time, was going through the process of putting control of the canal into Panamanian hands so that the US wouldn't have to maintain it. When the US built the canal no government in south/central america had any, ANY, capability to do so and Panama has reaped the benefits of the exchange. I see no irony whatsoever.

I know this is not the topic of the video, and if you wish to talk about this somewhere then PM me, but if you worrying yourself with the "nuclear threat" from Iran then you need to relax. Oh geez, a country with no majorly significant air, sea, or land forces that hasn't attacked a country in hundreds of years is going to blow up the USA or Israel from thousands of miles away. This sounds like a wonderfully written Michael Bay movie script!

The quote was in refrence to Roosevelt using US forces to protect the canal from columbian forces without congressional approval. At the time any use of US combatants needed congressional approval, Roosevelt was boasting about his use of the military in spite of Congressional opposition. The French who originally owned the land tried and failed then the US picked up the claim and finished it.

He rarely puts his hand on his chest during the national anthem or the pledge, which is a sign of respect. He repeatedly has said that only the things HE is trying to do would make this country something to be proud of, which tells me he's just obsessed with himself, and he's doing everything in his power to run the country into the ground and make us a third-world nation. "Spread the wealth" policies sound nice and will get you a lot of votes, but they're destructive. They always are.

PDF forces killed one US officer at a checkpoint, beat the other three officers while in custody. In addition to breaking the Torrijos-Carter Treaties related to the longstanding US ownership of the Panama canal, giving the US full legal authority to protect its claim.

None of u are Texans I can guess or you wouldn't comment like this. Bush is an 'old' man - hence, a bit overwhelmed and maybe doesn't understand flash dancing. After all, it IS a new thing! If y'all are lucky, you might live to be 88 too - then, we'll see what YOUR world is like. He's still one of the greatest presidents we've ever had.

Quite disrespectful. Even if it was meant to be lighthearted or entertaining the fact is that Former President Bush is an old man and should be treated with more respect. As a former leader of a nation and as an elder he deserves better than to be the focus of a ridiculous prank.
