As another comment has already pointed out, the Prince of Wales was not Regent in 1790. His regency was from 1811.

Custom made. They didn't have standard sizes.

Is QE2’s bed chamber blocked off, to be showed 50 years later or are there plans to show it sooner? How many rooms in the palace can serve as Regnant bedrooms for future generations? Do they recycle bedrooms?

The private apartments are used over and over again. Prince Philip died in the Blue Room. Before him Prince Albert had died in the same room in 1861, as had William IV in 1837 and George IV in 1830.

Is this similar to the monarch’s bed chambers in the last 100 years? Are most of the bed chambers in Windsor of the same size?

Not really. This is part of the State Apartments. The private apartments are much more of a normal size. The rooms at Sandringham are positively tiny. Apparently George V could lie in his bed, which was against the wall, and from his bed he could touch the opposite wall.

@@michaelmontagu3979 thank you for your replies to my questions. I am surprised at Sandringham size given it was a newer build. Then again, Queen Victoria was fairly short and George V was not.

@@Familylawgroup You know, George V wasn't very tall. He was only about 5 foot 7 inches. Some of the rooms at Sandringham are tiny and not very welcoming. Some have a very oppressive atmosphere.

It is impressive; however, it appears to be better suited for a Queen owing to the feminine aspects of the drapery. I guess in this time period it may have been appropriate. To each his or her own.
