how should I have my pedal tightness?? apparently I need to have the left pedal looser the right

probably not a good idea. you wouldnt want a thin stick in your left hand and a thicker stick in your right. it wont be even. as far as how tight you want your pedals to be is personal preference. i personally like them loose to about medium in tension. you'll have to fool around with them and it might take some time. Tip: to find out if your pedals are at equal tension, pull both beaters back at the same distance and let them go. if they rebound in sync with one another for a few strokes they are equal. for me it helps if i find a tension i like with my right(dominant) foot first then match the left accordingly.
