I met George in LA (for all of ten seconds) in 96 or 97. Shook his hand and said "How are you", to which he replied in a Liverpudlian accent "Fine, thank you".

Thank you for the great story. I bet that was some meeting. I would have been stunned to see him in person.

Thank you for your love of George and this video. I found it very heartwarming and enjoyable. During the Adelaide GrandPrix years, George was a frequent visitor although one would have hardly noticed. During his time in Adelaide he kept a very low profile. I think he was the one ( of all of the Beatles ) who influenced me to become more spiritual in a cosmological sense and to become interested in various aspects of theology. Thank you George.

Thank you for making this video. One of my favorite quotes from George towards the end of his life replying to the question what he would miss most of this life? “I’ve got a son and he needs a father. But apart from that I can’t think of much else!” Fearless & funny all the way to the end. We love you George

Thank you for finishing the story of George's life. It was very entertaining and enjoyable. Like you said it was a shame he died so young especially after finding happiness with his home life. Always look forward to your videos. Take care!

This is great, I will finish it later. Such an interesting man. George became kind of a legend in his neighborhood on Maui, and altho he did not like the public access trail next to his house, and it caused problems, he was very friendly with locals, opened his home to them and was part of the neighborhood. Obviously being a uke player fit in. In Hawaii, all shore lines are public, I think, definitely beaches are public property. Even very expensive resorts must provide a public trail and parking to the beach. Some people get pretty hot when a rich person tries to block public access. Zuckerberg being an example. There is no sympathy for the rich in that situation.

your best work so far. lovely rare photos. the part about his stabbing was so hard to watch. he wasn't perfect but he was a real person and being a Beatle must have been a curse in some ways....I would never want to be famous.

Thank you so much for enjoying the video. I don't think I would like to be famous either it is a blessing and a curse.

"Life of Brian "was the first Handmade film. Penn's jealousy of his wife was a daily problem, so was the script.

2:28 George's role was just to pretend to play a song; he appears really briefly in the movie and he's almost unrecognizable.

18:58 that's not how Ganges is pronounced (ps: you can Google names for pronunciations, y'know!)

We do not need to hear the name of the person who attacked him. And we also do not need to keep hearing the name of the scumbag murderer who killed lennon. All you're doing is elevating the scumbags to the level of Fame of The Beatles. I wish everybody who tells the Beatles Story would stop using those names but I guess nobody really gets it
@vitavomloehberg9 ай бұрын
My thoughts exactly. These subjects certainly deserve a lot, but not what they want: fame ! Their names should be rubbed out once and forever !
