The thing about Anakin bringing balance to the Force is that it wasn't as cut and dry as they think it is. Anakin did bring balance to the galaxy. In the final years of the Republic, the Jedi had become stagnant and arrogant in their ways. They no longer followed the will of the Force but cared more about public image and politics; something that haunted them in the Clone Wars. During the war, the Jedi became blinded by the growing darkness and had grown to become worse than before. It wasn't helped the Jedi's actions and ways basically pushed Anakin to become Vader and embrace the dark side. Anakin had to bring balance to both sides. The Jedi had become arrogant and blinded by their own actions, and the Sith were pure evil that needed to be wiped out. Basically, the two sides were hit with a hard reset because the balance had grown so out of sync that Anakin had to wipe out both sides to ensure true balance.

@TheSwordsman100
@TheSwordsman100 2 жыл бұрын
I both disagree and agree in a manner of speaking, the Jedi do not necessarily need to be wiped out to achieve balance, as balance in SW is not what most people think when they see the word balance. Instead George is going for a more taoist view, to use his analogy a healthy body represents everyone following the will of the Force is balance. The Dark Side which is not a part of the Force but is the act of forcing the Force to do your will instead is like cancer, throwing the body out of homeostasis. Hence why the prophecy called for the destruction of the Sith only. Throughout Clone Wars it is implied that the original plan the Force had for Anakin before his fall was to get the Jedi accept attachments and most importantly love as it was the fear of these things that causing them to lose their way and ironically enough their faith. (which Lore Star does a good video on) Qui-Gon was also meant to serve as a father figure giving Anakin a healthy upbringing similar to Luke and show him how a true Jedi is supposed to act. However Qui-Gon lost the duel of the fates, the Jedi of course rejected Anakin and became willfully blind, ignoring the mountain of evidence that something was up and the Force and thus fell as well do to their own hubris. Which leads us to the Force's plan B, where it directly intervened with Qui-Gon to save Obi-Wan and Yoda and guided Luke to redeem his father.

There's a reason Koine Greek and Ecclesiastical Latin are considered sacred languages just as Hebrew and Aramaic are. Christianity was born in the Roman empire the new testament as far as we know for certain was first written in Greek and it was through Greek and Latin that it spread and came to define itself. Also for a long time the Middle East was more of the center or a transitional area between the East and West back when western civilization was more focused along the Mediterranean a stark contrast between the middle east and Europe wasn't as strong it was more of a gradual one.

Anakin asked forgiveness. Forgiveness both forgiving of others and of self is a part of light side. Keep in mind that Anakin was in a form of hell while being inside of Vader's Armor. In Short, Vader's Armor is hell for Anakin's sins and Sidious is an asshole that enjoy torturing Anakin for the hell of it. Jedi training is overcome their dark side while Sith embraced their. Keep mind, Jedi are not perfect but the only Sith I do consider to be perfectly in tuned with the Dark Side is Darth Sidious. Also Many Sith Lords do have black twisted hearts but Darth Sidious is completely empty on the inside for he has no good on the inside, no morals. Dooku, Vader and Maul do have blood on their hands due to their rank as Sith Lords but they had an element of good within them.

I’m a devout Christian so for me the idea of Anakin being redeemed is no different than anyone being redeemed. Every human is prone to sin. The dark side, if you will. And in the eyes of God EVERY sin is equal. The thief and the murderer are both equally guilty in His eyes. This is why the whole debate of whether the Jedi Order was wrong or if Anakin was wrong is something that I find laughable because the obvious truth is they BOTH were wrong. Anakin failed to notice the devil (Palpatine’s) deception and the Jedi Order failed by rushing to war to begin with. And even further by keeping the war going instead of seeking peace immediately after Geonosis. Anakin’s redemption arc is much like the parable of the prodigal son in the bible to me. A son of God returning to his Father after gaining his inheritence (Being ‘the chosen one’ just like Christ before him) and later trashing it by living in sin (Becoming Darth Vader, the ‘dark father’).

I recall that Clone Wars episode where Yoda began his training with Qui-gon. One of the first things Yoda had to do was face the evil inside him and purge it. Anakin did the same when he was confronted with a choice, let his son die and keep his place as a Sith Lord, hoping to get Leia to overthrow the Emperor. Or sacrifice himself for Luke's sake like a Jedi would and kill the Emperor. He had to let go of being a Sith Lord in order to do that. This is the forgiveness of self and put him on the path of redemption. Keep in mind, Obi-wan didn't believe Anakin would come back but he got the proof due to Luke's faith in the good that is still in his own father.

I wish she would learn to let go and forgive everything and everyone. I would love for her to move forward with her life and be happy. I know there's love in there somewhere. I can't imagine how miserable it is on the inside- how's it's tearing her apart. It can't be a great feeling.

@@thedamntrain dude, I presume you don't know how life works: it's everything about survival of the strongest and those who have enough power, can do whatever the fuck they want and they won't ask you. This is the harsh reality we live in, religions and laws are made by us, in order for us to live in a society without too much chaos. But yes, I completely agree Hitler should've been punished for the crimes he did, even if he would apologize. What I was actually trying to say to you was that: those crimes have been committed, those people have died, they can't be turned back again. Even a life long sentence to prison wouldn't be enough to compensate what he did, even if Hitler was tortured slowly to death wouldn't compensate the crimes he committed (Hitler would die anyways, but people he killed can't be brought back). @C man Man Nah, bro. The prequel‘s really didn’t make a lot of sense based on what we were all expecting after the OT. I mean we expected Vader to be bad, we expected him to kill Jedi. But we expected it would look something like the Kurgan in Highlander hunting down Jedi one by one, killing them in duels. No one expected him to just murder a room full of children. SMH. That was ridiculous.

Personally, I would have liked to see an animation or short movie of Anakin being brought to the Wills, faced his sins and actions, confronting “himself” for his past, and eventually earning his right to be with the other Jedi, and become a Force ghost. I believe in redemption but only if it is actively sought after, and earned. After all, nothing worth having was ever easy to obtain.

Yes, but with many things Star Wars either pre or post Disney, there are plot holes that are filled by novels, interviews, and other sources to explain the them, or none at all. Fans accept what they want based on what sources they like or not. However, it's important to keep in mind there are many, many inconsistencies throughout the star wars universe. What matters are the characters and stories they bring about. "From a certain point of view...."

One of the big differences is that Anakin didn't fade away (on screen). His body had to be burned, like Qui-Gons was burned. So his death was more akin to Qui-Gon's. In the end it's all pretty convoluted and makes little to no sense.

Qui Gon's body was burned because he hadn't completed the training that would allow him to pass on like Yoda or Obi Wan. Yoda went on a journey to complete the training. Anakin/Vader was too much of a machine to be able to let fully go.

I'm okay with that bit being Legends because I like to think that he wouldn't cease to exist, and that Qui Gon only discovered the "Netherworld" after he died. Because if Anakin did learn how before he died I think he would have disappeared like Yoda/Obi-wan. Redemption is a difficult thing for us to give each other as humans, so it's natural that so many fans hesitate to allow Anakin back. But it really is the story of a prodigal son (of the Force). The ability to forgive (as you mention the Jedi are learning to do) is at the core of Life. There's nothing so beautiful as true Redemption.

In the bible, a criminal is tortured alongside Jesus and they speak with each other. Despite being self serving for so long, he repents and asks forgiveness. Jesus accepts this and tells him that he will one day be resurrected to paradise. The point is that someone can be evil their whole life, but if they truly change, then they should be forgiven.

As somebody who watched EP6 in the 90s I think that one was obvious. Luke kept saying it's not too late to become a good person and there is still redemption for Vader. And in the end here it was, he joined "Jedi heaven". The theme was forgiveness and redemption. I guess being from a religious school in my youth did help me to frame things like this. It's actually a bit saddening that nowadays people feel outraged at redemption arcs and think people should be judged for their past and not their present selves.
