I remember going and seeing this movie I remember walking out after it and a guy I knew huge collector asked me if I liked it as much as Empire Strikes Back I told him then it was as good as Empire because of the fact that finally Christopher Lee was in a Star Wars movie and he fought both Anakin and Kenobi and was the kick ass I was hoping he'd be. Listen carefully to Obi-Wans dialog in the OT, I'm not just talking about Leia somehow remembering her real mother even though she died in child birth. Obi-wan: "That boy is our last hope" Yoda:"No, there is another" in the prequels Obi-wan knew they were twins but somehow forgot she existed??? Obi-wan: "I took it upon myself to train him as a Jedi" . in the prequels he only did it as a dying wish for his master....who according to the OT should have been yoda only....seriously?

Obi-Wan said Luke was their last hope because Leia had 0 training and he didn't think there would be time to get Leia caught up to speed on her history and train her as a Jedi before the end of the Galactic Civil War. Yoda, on the other hand, realized that if Luke could learn the Force then so could Leia. Furthermore, Yoda said in TCW that he believed one never truly wins a war whereas Obi-Wan still did not learn that lesson. Obi-Wan could have decided not to train Anakin because, by his own admission, he was not ready. In addition, the Council did not fully agree with training Anakin but Obi-Wan did it anyway even though he followed the Code almost entirely.

Obi-Wan _did_ take it upon himself to train Anakin; he didn't have to. The Council was against it and at first so was Ben, but Qui-Gon convinced him to follow the Will of the Living Force and he knew what was right. Yoda _did_ teach Obi-Wan; he taught all Jedi. The enemy's ship got its shields on. Guess what? Your ship either A: crashes into it and because of the small distance the lightspeed does not do shit and you die, or B: your ship just slides off or bounces off the enemy ship's shields and you go in lightspeed into a whole different direction, from the one you wanted. At the time of selling, I remember that Lucas’s contract with Disney stipulated that he would be the one to choose the direct for the first movie in the ST. For some odd reason he chose JJ Abrams. And Kathleen Kennedy was alright with that so she actually left all the burden of making and selling Star Wars on him. She just went on to do her “Force is Female” campaign and left the day to day dealings with Jar Jar Abrams. So in fact it was Jar Jar Abrams who was pulling al the strings. Women have seen complaining too long that “men are the reason they are held back and the Academy is racist and sexist that’s why no woman was nominated for best director this year.” They don’t understand their lack of talent and imagination. (I know JkRowling made the Harry Potter series, but that is the exception that proves the rule.) What they’re just proving is men are stronger and smarter than women or else it would be the women holding back the men!
