George Michael and Elvis are the greatest blue eyed soul artists. George Michael have been endorsed by soul singers such as Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Smokey Robinson, Mary J Blige, Whitney etc. Timberlake can only dream.

Just watching this again. I heard Mary say recently that still misses George everyday. She said there are people you meet and you just know they are good, they are one of those people and George was that. It made me cry. RIP George. There are many of us who still miss you everyday.

He was truly blue-eyed soul. George was somebody before his time .Fist white artist to win album of the year and song of the year on the R&B charts. He was endorsed by Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Mary J Blige, Smokey Robinson Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, the works. His voice is absolutely phenomenal. Justin is also very good but there’s something that George possesses in the quality of his voice that allowed him to be so soulful and then turn around and sing and produce a sugary pop song, sing a little bit of rock, and jazz and standard. He was just a multitalented artist. Never one like him again. This “AS “ video is spectacular.

I'm glad you have an appreciation for his voice. He was a singer's singer and a unique talent. Y'all should check out the duet he did with Aretha, "I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me)." And I don't think I've heard anyone react to George's long-time bass player, Deon Estus. He tried to have a solo career of his own. He did have one amazing hit, "Heaven Help Me" which George sings backup on. It's a beautiful song.

What Mary said about George in the documentary Freedom pays of great respect and admiration for him. I even think I saw tears in her eyes. George Michael did another very nice duet with a Sugarbabes singer, her name is Mutya Buena and the song is called This Is Not Real Love. It is a slow and soulful song. Their voices harmonize wonderfully together. Unfortunately, there is no official video, but the song is worth listening to. There is a fan video and also a lyric video on KZbin.

He was a powerful duet partner. He knew how to let the others shine, from Whitney Houston, Mary J Blige, Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney, the list is impressive. First "Spicy White Boy" was definitely NOT George. Blue Eyed Soul is a long list with a lengthy history. So she can hear George's voice do Wham!'s Battlestations. Warning, your wife WILL melt.
