George Michael was not in my generation. I am about 30 years before him and had never heard of him until my godchild told me about him. I decided to look him up on my tablet and listen to him singing. I came upon his concert “Killer” and watched it and thought to myself “Wow! I would have loved to have attended thus concert! I then searched all of his songs and performances and just fell in love with him. I loved his music, I loved his look, his personality, his mannerisms, the way he talked and on and on. When I found out he had died, I was crushed and still am. I listen to his music all the time and just admire him so much. I think he was not only talented but a loving and caring man. His sexuality meant nothing to me. He was free to choose any lover he wanted as we all do. He was a man to be admired and loved and I do love him even if I am about 35 years older than he was.

He seemed such a kind man, obviously not perfect and he seemed to have his troubles. All that adoration but it was only the idea of George Michael we loved. I love the line in Freedom "when I saw which side my bread was buttered, I took the knife as well" - just one of many brilliant nuggets out of a plethora of brilliance. I felt so bad for him - he had back surgery, ended up with two rods in his back and a lifetime of pain and it turned out that the surgery was unnecessary even though they had told he would be paralyzed in 6 months to a year if he didn't have the surgery - I can't imagine how that messed with his head. You can see he isn't moving as easily as he had earlier, he is only 44 years old here and likely would have been able to move easier without the surgery and those rods (not like he did when he was just in his 30s but still 44 is relatively young. Just heartbreaking.

I just wish that his private life could of be kept his own. What did it matter if he were straight, bisexual or gay. He was a gift from God that was here much too short time. He was sincere, loving, shy, and craved for his privacy. His life and The life Elvis were very much alike. He had a smile that could melt hearts at a glance. His music just devastates me 💔 His rendition of “the long and winding road” is just stunning. That voice... beautiful, perfect and unforgettable. His music was the soundtrack to my life. He was my teen years in WHAM, and Careless Whisper. Then in college it was Father Figure & I want your sex. In the 90’s his music truly saw me through a wicked divorce. In my adult years he graced me with so many wonderful songs, then the absolutely gorgeous masterpiece “Symphonica.” His music was the soundtrack to my life, and an entire generation. All the pain & the joy. I can only pray that in the end he knew how much his music touched so many. George... we miss you. Your smile, your grace under pressure, your ability to transcend. What a beautiful soul. You left us all entirety too soon. What a talent. ❤️ Goodbye my friend... With all my love 🥰 K Las Vegas, NV USA

So true! I felt the same when my favourite artist made a song Freedom ‘90 just to match my country’s fight for our freedom, it’s like somehow je just to knew. I felt so lucky to be able to see him live three times for 25Live (Berlin, Glasgow) - and when I couldn’t fit the travel for Symphonica - He came to me! That is 😊 to Zagreb, my hometown. It was such a gift for me, so wonderful. Soon after he went to Vienna and ended up in coma, etc and I was really heartbroken for him. I think he never recovered fully, but oh, he was even better live then on TV! Such great artist and person!

@@jonelova Thank you for sharing this. Sadly I never saw him in person. I’m envious that you saw him not once but 3 times! Especially for Symphonica! What an amazing experience it must have been! ❤️ His music always spoke to me. He seemed so much wiser than his years. He had an incredible way of illustrating via his music the joy & beauty of life. Conversely he could covey through verse and song those unspeakable hurts we all have felt, but rarely have the courage to speak of. As he aged, his artistry grew and matured, and we did with it. I will forever treasure his beautiful heart, voice and the way he shared both his triumphs and failures. He was an incredibly brave and talented man. I miss him almost as much today as I did the day we learned we had lost him. Sing on George… we will forever be listening ❤️
