Unless patriots in both parties, together with the press (I HATE the word "media"), work to keep this thing alive in the public mind, it will drop off the radar, we will have a couple of news cycles, he'll do something ELSE embarassingly idiotic, and the American people (if that means anything at all anymore) will wander back off into the mist of entertainment and social media that is keeping them semi-comatose. Canada shares a border with Russia. Putin has been in power for 17 years and there's no reason to believe it will end. He's like the head of a mob family and a Tsar rolled into one, with all of the power and tools of the USSR at his disposal. But he lacks any of the ideology and values that were the basis of the Russian Revolution. I could go into detail but there are so many documentaries on his rise to power. Canada gets along with Russia ok but only because we're consistent in our policies as are they. They did offer to help us during our wildfires last year.
