@@Vass881234 depends where you live and the law,,you might be able to give it to your local garage or places they do this job and they will take it off your hands to send it to the proper recycling center but since it costs them money and i assume they are only allowed a certain quantity to get rid off they may refuse to take yours unless you pay a fee or if there is a gov place you can take it but they also may charge a fee ,im in canada and i tried going to these garages and they refused to take my coolant, some places will take only 4 litres of motor oil ,i learned that if i take it to a gov recycling center they will charge me a fee and i dont know how much so what i did was simply dump the jugs next to a garage in the middle of the night (make sure you are not caught on cam) and let them deal with it without refusing or making me pay a fee, they have no choice but to take responsibility and do the right thing ,of course its illegal to do this ,next day i drove by and saw the jugs were gone :) make sure you write what the stuff is on the jugs be it trans fluid, motor oil, brake fluid, coolant etc

@@GeorgeAusters yes i like your easy way,,there are a few things i dont understand however,,,if you can please awnser my questions 1)why did you bother heating the engine first? why not drain first add water then heat up the engine? because all you done was cycle the old coolant or did you think heating it first allows you to drain more coolant out that is in the engine and heater matrix? because that thermo once open will cool the system fast and will close up fast again before you even have time to drain it 2)did you use tap water at room temp to fill it up? 3)so you can fill it up through the reservoir(ie header tank) instead of bothering with the radiator cap? my worry is if i drain my radiator through the petcock that the coolant in the header tank will not drain into the radiator and out from there,,i see many ppl having to manually empty there header tank,,im wondering if its this easy on my car and if i can do it the same way you did without having to take apart my tank 4)how are you able to do this with all that pressure build up and heat in the coolant without it being dangerous and steaming all over you? not sure i can do this with my car as the thermo only operates after 100 deg C ,,too dangerous i think, seems like you are not waitting for the temp to cool down before draining??

Good video but there is suppose to be 2 bleed valves on these Grande Puntos, 1 on the pipe going into the bulkhead into the heater matrix and 1 at the top left (drivers side) on the radiator, best to remove the grill in the bumper to get access to it, No need to put the blowers on, but you do want to make sure the heater dial is all the way to HOT, and when up to temperature it’s good to hold the revs about 3k to push the coolant around the system and force the air out, When I did mine I made sure the radiator bleed valve was slightly undone so when the thermostat does open any trapped air in the system and escape from that radiator valve, because you will have trapped air at the top of the radiator if you don’t open that valve, I also used a hose pipe to flush the system out, that’s another good way to do it, Good video through,
