These are the luckiest people to have had the chance of a lifetime of meeting George Michael in person..😇🙏

I met him in 1987 at the CBS Records (now Sony) convention in Vancouver, BC. I was working for a song writer on his demo for a new song at one of the large studios in the city, and some friends came by who happened to be with Virgin Records and told us the convention was at the Hyatt, so I took a friend with me and we just walked in. No one stopped us. We were talking with Ricky Skaggs and his wife, when my friend turned to me and whispered in my ear to turn around, and George was standing right behind me with Kathy Jeung. He was really nice, kind of quiet and shy and just lovely.

I feel so blessed that I got to see him live before he left us. I am sorry you never had the chance to. I have always loved George. Especially when he got into his solo career. When he came out on stage in Seattle, I wept like a screaming girl at an Elvis concert! I feel so blessed! He was so amazing. I miss him terribly. For the true fans, he was a true icon.

@@robertacolarette1594I too love him and his music - he was unparallelled! However I don't quite agree that he wasn't sufficiently reckognized. Just out of curiosity, are you by any chance living in USA? I think that maybe it can be more true there than in Europe and large parts of Latin America.

There are some artists passing that are more painful than others - George happens to be the one that still has me in pain. :-( For over 35 years I’ve always enjoyed his music.....from club Tropicana to Praying for Time - how I wished he had more time. I had a dream last fall where I waited on him. He was alone. He was quiet. He was sad. After he cashed out, in complete silence, I just gave him a hug. No words exchanged. Just a hug. I was hopeful to see him in concert just like so many....... Thank you, George, for MANY great years!!! Eternal rest, grant unto George, O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. May George’s soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Saw him in concert during the faith tour. I was blown away by how pure his voice was, it sounded exactly the same as on the studio recording. The skill and talent that guy had was off the scale! Most artists are not that good live, I would say 5% have what it takes as a singer to sit at the top table…he’s one of them 👍.

Worth the wait. No funeral to attend so true fans are desperate for any bit of info, doc etc they can get, this is why fans are still finding his passing so raw still. For me there feels no closure apart from the obvious. So sudden, my head spun, in absolute disbelief... This world was too harsh for such a sensitive and gentle soul, his only release to ease the pain was through his artistry HE SHARED HIS INNERMOST FEELINGS, THAT WE COULD IDENTIFY WITH. I listen to the lyrics even more intently now, to understand and heal. "If you've got something to say why don't you say it...., we're moving further from Heaven and closer to the Deep blue sea,... I have no secrets from you, I have nothing left to hide, I'm open to all your questions, why can't you reach inside....like I have, like like I have..."🎶🎶🎶🎶👏👏👏🎶🎶🎶👏👏 Stunning, clear lyrics from the incredibly gifted songwriter...in my eyes and heart, the greatest songwriter of my generation AND Im TRULY BLESSED TO HAVE BEEN PART OF GMs SINGING 🎶 GENIUS AND WATCH HIS MONUMENTAL GROWTH SPIRITUALLY, FROM THE WHAM TO HIS FINAL PASSING, 25.12.16....ETCHED FOR ALL TIME IN MY MEMORY AND HEART...I SAW YOU AT EARLS COURT WHEN YOUR ALBUM FAITH was at its peak, it was MIND-BLOWING, I was IN AWE FOR WEEKS AFTER... I Bought your albums and was overcome with anticipation, Never to be DISAPPOINTED,. Healing from from yr sudden death for me now comes through your music which I play consistently and have rediscovered songs by you that I haven't listened to in a while and it creates a feeling of newness that reminds me of an era never to be witnessed again, fragmented like you said. GM, YOU ARE AND HAVE BEEN LOVED, MORE THAN YOU WILL EVER KNOW. 🌃 night night MY SWEET LORD XXXXX💜💜💜💜💜

Braveheart his family had a funeral they are the ones who needed it we don't need a Public Memorial watching a Memorial for George on Television is not gonna ease the agony his passing gave me what purpose would it serve other than my parents seeing me completely lose control of myself like they never really have before
@aprilgosa5779 Жыл бұрын
Maybe George did not want a Public Funeral the family deserves their privacy they had a private ceremony and burial we got tributes the British Awards and the American Grammys performance from Adele who was fantastic I was a wreck a televised public memorial service would have done me in I Still have never seen Princess Diana's Funeral and it's been over 25 years I watched the Memorial service for Michael Jackson that was enough and I am Way more emotionally attached to George Michael in a different special way and really The Memorial service for Michael Jackson was just another reason for his greedy sperm donor Joseph Jackson to make money from the son he abused all MJ'S Childhood but I watched it for his poor kids Thank God George's family members don't care about fame or money they only want to protect his legacy and memory and they love the fans so HATERS Can PISS OFF

The CARPOOL KARAOKE creation that the world knows, came first with George Michael, and was nearly never to be, as James Corden says in the last minute! I'm so glad George found the energy and willingness to do that, I laughed and teared up SO hard at it when I first saw it here in the states on youtube a decade or so ago. I saw George twice in 2008 with my best friend, in Florida, it was STUNNING how great of an entertainer he was - I truly am sorry for those that never saw him, but you're right in believing he was amazing as the vids show! Now if I only could've seen Steve Perry sing lol
