Fine psychological work here from Richard Jefferson: never been a superstar, so he knows how under appreciated you can be in a superstar driven league. Here he starts praising a very modest role player like Niang to let him feel good and subsequently open revealing unedited and unpublished details about Ben Simmons. If Ben worked hard and loved basketball he would have been a HOF easily and been a top 5 player. He had the size at 6’10 to run the court like Giannis, he could pass the ball at an elite level, and he was an elite rebounder as well. He should have been able to average near a triple double. His scoring is all he needed to work on. If he developed a post game he could have easily averaged 22-23 points and if he got some type of jump shot it could go higher. He really should have been an all time great player with his talent vision and size
