Fine psychological work here from Richard Jefferson: never been a superstar, so he knows how under appreciated you can be in a superstar driven league. Here he starts praising a very modest role player like Niang to let him feel good and subsequently open revealing unedited and unpublished details about Ben Simmons. The transition to the media world for Richard Jefferson is now complete. Bravo!👏 👏 👏

That was SO refreshing 2 hear an NBA player keep it totally 💯 regarding relationships with other players (especially Ben Simmons). Normally they’re so politically correct and phoney (ie. JJ Redick). Ben Simmons has no one 2 blame with how his career has turned out but Ben Simmons and I have no idea why people have coddled him 4 so long. It did nothing 2 help him…it just enabled the piss poor attitude and approach 2 the game. Grown men need the truth; not yes men.

If Ben worked hard and loved basketball he would have been a HOF easily and been a top 5 player. He had the size at 6’10 to run the court like Giannis, he could pass the ball at an elite level, and he was an elite rebounder as well. He should have been able to average near a triple double. His scoring is all he needed to work on. If he developed a post game he could have easily averaged 22-23 points and if he got some type of jump shot it could go higher. He really should have been an all time great player with his talent vision and size

Ben is a great what if story. I don’t think he loves the game of basketball. He is naturally gifted with size. If he worked hard I truly believe he could have been a Lebron type player. He was a great passer and rebounder and just needed to work on his shot. But I don’t think he wanted it like that. Maybe he can become a great role player for a championship team but the superstar days have long gone

Ben is the softest player of all time. Biggest waste of potential ever. Dude was on his way to all time great status after his rookie year and stopped caring.
