We are at the field now, just got to try and figure out the systems on the Fendt. The Flail is a Maschio Giraffona.

Hi,quick few tips for you on driving those fendt tractors,if you need to know how any function works highlight it on the monitor and then press 'help' on the side buttons and it will give you written instructions on how to operate that particular function. You can transfer the lift lower functions to the main joystick by pressing the blue button with a picture of a linkage arm and the letter 'A' (automatic) all you need to do then is press 'go' to lower and 'end' to lift the linkage.

Top work George. Don't get too bogged down by people asking for shoutouts. Of course everyone would love a shoutout but then you would be here for a year worth of content just shouting people out. Best to shoutout nobody that way nobody will get offended and we can continue to enjoy you great content.

I am as much a JCB fan as any other tractor make but to be totaly honest this new job of yours has taken the enjoyment factor on your channel way way up for me simply because your now in machinery i can relate to and the jobs your doing or will be doing are proper farming jobs and not focus around bales (nothing wrong with bales of coarse). JD's great tractors love me Fendt's as well , the icing on the cake for me would be that Henry runs silage always wanted to see you running a silage trailer. best farming channel on youtube just got better.

Lovely video George, realy enjoy watching these videos. Also when you try to figure out all the buttons is nice to see (I find that interesting, because the only tractor I''ve ever driven is one from 1976 or so, where the only electrical things were the lights and startermotor :P ). I do get into tractors on shows and such (not driving them unfortunatly) and I just wonder were all the buttons are for, so it's great to see stuff like this in your video. Keep up the good work!

I'm surpriced no one told you how the use the Fendt before sending you out in the field, but here is a few tips: Remember to put it in "Field gear" while working on the fields. The lift hight can be adjustet in the computer and you can use the "go" and "end" on the joystick to raise and lower the lift.

Hi George Most tractors from around 2000 on over here in Canada have a black plastic storage holder on the back of the seats, They have a really nice thing in them called an instruction manual, if nobody's lost it, wiped their butt on it caught short in the field , or the dog ate it L.O.L. It might be worth looking to see if it's there and taking it home for a read. or is there a quick guide manual on the tractors computers nowadays, I don't run or fix anything this new here. You seem to have gone from a job being very confident to being lost with this stuff. It's what we call the deere in the headlights look in Canada. I know it's a new job and equipment but like others said you seem to of got dropped right in it figuring this new stuff out on your own. I still like the video's and looking forward to the new jobs, It's just painful watching you struggle. I'd be right mad by now if it was me, trying to figure all these different tractors out.. Take care See ya next time.

Hi Goerge thanks for the reply, I'm not surprised it's a book like you say with all that garbage on the tractors these days . They are getting way over complicated. in 15 years they will be junk with no parts available to fix them, like's happening with the last incarnations of this stuff now.. Good luck with it.

Just to let you know Grant, I've never asked for one, but it's nice to know people enjoy my comments. George answers comments on his videos, rather than replying to them, and by all accounts he does enjoy mine. I agree with you if people ask to be mentioned. I can see wily you prefer the John Deere, they may not be the fastest tractorout there but they do what they do well in a straightforward way. Even as a very occasional tractor driver I could step in to most models of Derry and operate them were as despite watching many videos on fendt and indeed a brief in cab sit and control run through I know I would be somewhat lost if I was handed the keys and told to go out and operate tomorrow. Someone once quipped to me that to drive a fendt you need to forget from your mind the controls of any other tractor and they then seem intuitive!!
@MrPaul1f7 жыл бұрын
Typo! Most models of Deere
@roosty67 жыл бұрын
Very interesting all the way through. Just curious why you cut the grass at this time. Why not turn some cattle in to pasture on it? The Fendt looks like a nice driver but like all the new ones, needlessly over complicated in the controls. I'm used to a straight mechanical connection between hydraulics and hand. Simple and trouble free and does not require a training course to figure it out.

Hi goerge...what mower is that? Here in south africa all the flail mowers are directly behind the tractor. We use them to remove netals after the cows have finished grazing the pasture but when the mower is behind the tractor is struggles to get a clean chop down low where the tractors tires pushed them into the ground.

Kina surprises me that you haven't been shown the basics on how to operate the tractors. I know a tractor is a tractor and they are all fairly similar, but still would expect an employer to give a basic overview of a machine if you have never used it. Also if you have a accident and they haven't shown you how to operate it they will be the one in trouble in the end not you.
@GeorgeSaunders7 жыл бұрын
Colin Schenk Hi Colin, I have of course been shown the basic operations of the tractor, that doesn't mean that I can remember all of the functions until I can get used to the machine, I don't think it's quite as intuitive as other makes. Thank you for your comment.
@GRASSorMUCK7 жыл бұрын
Hi George, you can do everything off the controller and can build up 5 sequences iirc on the 2 sepperate End-Go functions. You can swap any of the spools to the 2 on the joys stick or on the additional hydraulic joystick. Say there you could have your pto on the left right stop/go and your linkage and the large up/down stop/go buttons. You just need to set the height first. the spools could be on the 2 buttons on either edge of the joystick but probably easier to do it conventionally. The stop/go is headland management essentially, it just takes time with your bum in the seat to figure it out on the computer. Remeber to put the fendt into 'field' range when you leave the tar/concrete!
