Off Flail Mowing in the Fendt 516

My first proper bit of work on the little Fendt 516, trying to get my head round all the different systems, Part 2 will follow

Fendt is very easy drive on the road. Thats why I love Fendt. You need to press the clutch only when you are starting the motor. If I can give a tip, you need to lock the back lifting equipment from the monitor. That hydraulic lock button locks all hydraulics. :)

Worked with a 939 over summer and its the best I've ever used and I've used both JD (7280R,7530) and Fendt (939, 724)

You can use the go and stop button on the joystick to operate the three point linkage but you have to press the bottom on the right hand side with sorts of looking like /a you press that then your able to use the go and stop

Press the botton with the rear linkage on with a A next too it, then u can control up and down with the ''go'' and ''end'' bottons on the joystick ::)

The pick up hitch is on the link arms on a fendt, use one of the hydraulic spools usually grey

loadsa people have already said this. but set up the linkage control on the joystick. and I think proper lorry exhaust brakes (jake brakes) use the exhaust valves in the head unlike tractors which just have a butterfly valve in the exhaust. that's what I reckon anyway. I ain't no expert

The exhaust break on new hollands are rubbish we got a T7.200 and two T7.260s with vario gearboxs and exhaust break don't really do anything. Also the reason the fendt don't slow down so fast I think is that the transmission don't disconnect when you slow down.

give me a john deere every time the same type of gear box on the jd is much easier to use than the fendt and I,ve driven both, but will say the fendt does give you a slighty better ride on the road.

Its really easy, just push the TMS button, and all you have to do is press the gas pedal to accelerate and press the brake pedal to brake. You dont need to use these buttons, if you get more used to the tractor you can use it to set all kinds of things.

Even easier than that ;) What TMS does it throttles the tractor for you. Lets say your packing silage, your going up the pile while pushing silage. You press the gas pedal and the tractor will go flat out to push up the silage. But when going down the silage pile the tractor has much less resistance. So it idles its way down.
