Worry that what a lifestyle of being an oath-breaking tyrannical bully might have consequences in this lifetime as well? Yeah I’d worry for your son too the moment he ever tries tactics of violence and intimidation on a true patriot that finally sends him to his well deserved place in Hell.

I lost my husband almost 5 yrs ago. He was an amazing man & amazing cop. Everyone loved & respected him. Even people he arrested came to his funeral. They hugged me & told me thank you because William always treated them like human beings. And never judged them for their crimes & was always willing to help them get on the right path. I love & miss him so much. It helps my heart to know he was loved by so many. And he will never be forgotten. William Grathwohl END OF WATCH July 6, 2016. I love you & miss you everyday baby. Heard a story on Christian radio this morning, a Tennessee LEO said he was eating at a Cracker Barrel, when he went up to pay, the cashier said two Black girls had paid his bill and left him a note, which read " Black lives matter, but so does yours, lunch is on us, take care." We all need to stick together, see through the lies and the herd mentality. You do it through loving your neighbor as yourself.

@Gengis Khan I suggest you do research on the individuals who have been made "saints" and the situations in which they were shot. These men resisted, fought and attacked the LEOs, their background were all of being thugs, lawbreakers. The guy shot on Kenosha raped a women with her child beside her, stole her credit card and her car. This was never reported, it never is, because it doesn't fit the media narrative.. Have some Cops used violent force illegally? Yes, and they were punished. nothing is perfect in this world, including YOU or me.

20+ years of public service. My uniforms have been hung up in the back of my closet for going on 10 years now, but not a day goes by that I don't have a memory about time spent on the job. They never leave you, regardless of how much time passes or how often we try to numb those memories. I love my Blue Family, and miss our daily associations. Keep the faith, brothers and sisters. Keep your heads up. It's dark times right now, but take solace in the knowledge that most good folks support you and the job you do. I've got your six. God bless Blue.

An awesome song George Strait. I don’t think anyone has ever produced and recorded a song, to honor those who protect our communities. Specifically, the clerical workers behind the scene for 911, First Responders, Paramedics, Firefighters, Police and Sheriff Officers, which pretty much includes all of the EMS in each community. Hats off to George Strait and those who carry the weight of the badge 🎸🇺🇸👮‍♂️👨‍✈️🥇🚔🚑🚒. 🎀 💖 💐🌹. Love and thanks to all!

What a perfect way to explain it, “The Weight of The Badge”. Most will never know the extent of what law enforcement officers 👮‍♀️have to deal with throughout their career. For most LEOs this wasn’t a career choice, IT WAS A CALLING. Because it truly takes a unique individual to volunteer to put their lives on the line for a stranger. “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

When I join the marines later this year and when I’m done after 4 years maybe a little longer I’m going to become a police officer. It has always been my dream of being a cop and when I listen to these types of songs it makes me want to become one sooner and it’s awesome to hear this music and appreciating of men and women in blue and although the weight of the badge is heavy they will always put the badge on and serve the people and will sacrifice their lives. God bless our police. Another great song from George

It always gets me excited to hear that someone is interested in law enforcement. It’s not a job, it’s a calling - like being a priest or a nun. If pay is all you’re after, the amount of danger this job puts you in is not worth it. It’s only worth it if you actually care about your community. 0.4% of Americans are serving in the military on active duty like I did. Even less are law enforcement professionals. It’s a small family.

@@davidg5041 you could find a handful of examples where cops were wrong. There are always circumstances in everything. Are you telling me I should be anti-cop over one instance? Get real. Ordinary people doing an extraordinary job. I followed my father before me (police) and his father before him (firefighter) into public service. For 24 years, my wife and kids have watched me drive away under the weight of the badge. Thank you Mr. Strait for recognizing those who serve and make split second decisions that are reviewed and dissected for years by others who weren't there. It's one the noblest of callings, police work, and I pray that those youngsters feeling the call now aren't turned away by the negative views of the few but that they answer that call for the needs of the many.

I have family members in law enforcement. I have some friends that are retired LEO's also. They're some of the FINEST people out there. This song is such a fitting tribute to all of those that do or did wear a badge. I'm a believer that it takes a special kind of person to do a job that so many (these days) look down on. It seems so thankless at times, but these people do the job without fail, without thanks, and without the recognition that they deserve. It's heartbreaking really. To anyone that reads this that puts his or her life on the line daily to keep us safe......I thank you. And the rest of us that respect your calling thank you as well. God bless all of you. May God protect you with His mighty armor. Much love and respect, >Mav

Hey Brother, I spent 4 long years as a CO before becoming a policeman on the street. Being a CO is a thankless, shitty job. Since transitioning to the street, I'm nice to the detention deputies. They deal with some shit in probably one of the most secluded, unknown jobs. Hang in there brother, it's shitty but we need you on those tiers. Thank you for what you do. Sincerely, a former State Penitentiary CO turned Cop.

I’m a retired road (Sgt) deputy with a daughter who is now a corrections deputy. Listening to her stories… I had it easy on the road. I could roll the windows up and listen to the music. She is stuck with the 400 inmates yelling, screaming, fighting, etc. Please don’t kid yourself on the importance of your job. A badge is a badge! Stay safe and I keep YOU ALL in my prayers. *Also, seeing The King singing this live in concert. It had pretty much all of us in the field house crying.

I have a son in law enforcement and boy did this song ever hit home. I sat here thinking of all the arrest he has made and how some of them were very tough and close calls. The many times he has saved innocent lives. My eyes wasn't dry for thirty minutes or so, just knowing he's one of the good guys. He doesn't comprise with any one and so far he has come home to his family for the last 11 year's. I know God's hand is on him. A cop is all he ever wanted to be scence he was two years old. He was born to be a cop. Thank God for George Strait and this song. Thank God for all the fallen LEO's for their sacrifice and their families who gave up their fallen hero's. May they rest in peace.

My name is Shaunda Netherland and I have been a fan of George Strait forever. My daughter and I attended his show on 11-21-19. This made my 27th concert to see him. My husband was Master Trooper/Deputy. His end of watch was June 24th, 2013. He had been in law enforcement for over 32 years. It was a single automobile accident. When this song came out I knew it was written for husband. I knew there was a reason for being a George Strait fan.
