Georgia Angler Award to Girl Fishing Smallmouth Bass

Maybe one day I will get some footage that is graceful, but this def wasn’t it lol. Anyways, I can’t believe I pulled it off, but I did, and was given a 2020 Georgia Angler Award for the 19.75” Smallmouth Bass I caught. Hooked her while going backwards down Savannah river rapids, but I was determined to land her, no matter the cost! And just wait for the look when I do! Funny fishing moments 😂

Also, I was using a Tactacam fish-I camera, so the video quality isn’t as good as my GoPro hero8. I wish I would have had my GoPro with me so that I could have gotten a wider shot, but this moment was still incredible!

How far up towards rapids could I get putting in at Riverview Park? I do have an Xi3 for journey up river. Anything to be wary of? Definitely saw your head on a swivel in that swift water.

About a mile, I believe. You wouldn’t be able to go any further than that with a trolling motor. I put in at Savannah Rapids Pavilion and come down without a motor. 🎣💙
