Georgians March, Wave Pairs Of Flags For Independence Day

Georgia marked the 105th anniversary of the declaration of the first independent democratic republic on May 26. In Tbilisi, a demonstration was held to honor the day with both Georgian and European Union flags. It was an answer to the cabinet’s decision to opt out of displaying the EU flag.

The people on the street, maybe. The people in power, I am not so sure. The EU parades on the street are odd while the government has an open door, no questions asked to Russian nationals. Security risk and pushing up housing costs. The Georgians need to be asking that to stop.
